What are your school workshops like
Dance Days provide educational (and fun) dance workshops for primary, secondary and SEND schools. Our workshops are designed to enrich your pupils learning outside of the classroom. We have over 30 different dance styles to choose from, with many linking directly to school topics and projects. You can also build your own Dance Day and pick n mix the styles of dance, and this is very popular for schools that are hosting an international/multicultural day or week. We also work with schools during arts, healthy, wellbeing and sports days/weeks.
What type of Curriculum/Keystage Workshops do you cover
Our workshops are suitable for all key stages and abilities, and our team will adapt the delivery of the workshop to ensure that everyone can take part. Each session will start with a short introduction and some fact-finding (depending on the chosen style) this may include a mini warm-up if the session time allows. We will then deliver the dance workshop, using simple routines with the number of steps and complexity increases as we go through the key stages. You will be amazed at how much your pupils learn during the sessions, and expect to see the choreography they have learnt in the playground for days to come.
Here are some of our popular dance styles; you can find the full list on our website.
African, Carnival & Samba, Chinese, Decades, Flamenco, History topics, Indian & Bollywood, International & Multicultural Events, Musicals, Street & Strictly.

Group Sizes
From experience, 30 pupils per session work best. During a school day we can work with 7 to 8 sessions of 30 to 45 minutes. We can usually cover a 1 form entry school in a full day. We offer complete flexibility and work to your school timetable.
