Buzz Active Eastbourne Activity Centre East Sussex

At Buzz Active Eastbourne, we provide exciting and educational experiences for school groups. Our activities include: Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training courses or taster sessions in Dingy Sailing, Windsurfing, Powerboating and Wing Surfing. We also offer additional activities including: Giant Sup and Raft Building, designed to develop confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. We offer courses and taster sessions suitable for all ages starting from 6 years old and up. 

Buzz Active Eastbourne is located on the Eastern end of Eastbourne seafront on Royal Parade. Our center is directly opposite Princes Park on the promenade. We have free on-site parking for clients, access to a boating lake within the park, ideal for junior learners and beginners. The lake is shallow and easily accessible from all sides, making it a supportive environment for learning. When conditions are suitable, we also make use of the sea, with direct access to the beach from our centre.

Our centre is ideally located in the calm waters of Eastbourne beach, providing a safe and accessible environment for Watersports. We also have access to a boating lake, which we can use when sea conditions are too rough, allowing activities to take place in almost any weather. 

With over 20 years of experience, we specialise in activities for young people and offer RYA-accredited courses and expert tuition as part of your visit. RYA training helps to develop key skills such as: Teamwork, Determination, Communication, Independence, Confidence, and Creativity- all essential attributes linked to a growth mindset. Many aspects of Key Stage learning outcomes can be met through an RYA training course, making our activities a valuable and enriching experience for students.

We hold AALA accreditation and are Royal Yachting Association recognised. We are also on the approved providers list for East Sussex County Council.

RYA training and certification where appropriate. All ages and abilities can be catered for from 6 and up. Curriculum linked activity can be tailored to suit your needs and meet your desired learning outcomes. Please call us to discuss your specific requirements and outcomes. 

Many of our activities can be linked to the learning outcomes required by class teachers.

We have recently fulfilled our most recent post of having our own Outdoor Learning Practitioner who is available to create timetabled bespoke sessions throughout the year.

6-80+ (larger groups will require multi activity options and longer sessions.)

We can cater for 24 sailing 24 windsurfing, 8 Giant Sup and 40 raft building, typical groups we cater for are around 16-40. Please call us to discuss options for larger group bookings.

RYA logbooks can be purchased for an additional fee. Please call us to discuss individual bookings and your requirements, Curriculum linked activity should be arranged as a part of the booking process.

All groups are required to sign as a part of their booking process to agree to photographic rights for Buzz Active to use their image in any marketing or promotional activity. While we recognise this may not always be appropriate for some user groups, any groups as a whole, or individuals who wish to opt out must ensure they inform the centre.

Groups may photograph and film their own participants unless there are other groups onsite.

Teachers perks: 1 teacher free if 6-11 booked. 2 teachers go free when a booking of 12 or more participants is arranged. For larger groups we can discuss more adult places.

Group rates apply to groups of 6 or more.

Short sessions: Typical prices start from £21pp for a 1.5 hour taster course, £25 for a 2 hour course.

                     12 or more: £133 

6 Sessions: 2.hrs

All participants must provide their own footwear for Watersports as we do not supply shoes. All participants must attend with appropriate footwear and weather-proof clothing for all land-based activity’s.

All our staff are first aid qualified

The center has changing facilities, showers, toilets, DDA compliant disabled facilities. classroom. We do not unfortunately have catering or a shop onsite, Please ensure all participants bring with them food and drinks to sustain their activity with us.

We have DDA compliant facility’s with shower and toilet. We have some SEN qualified and experienced staff onsite. Please discuss the requirements with the bookings team.

We have a limited range of accessible equipment.

We are open by appointment Monday to Sunday during daylight hours (09:00-17:00) and can offer bespoke timings outside of these hours.
