What we offer on a school trip
Dive into the ocean and discover the wonders of the deep in our colourful aquarium, right in the heart of Bristol. Explore more than 40 naturally-themed displays and spot the thousands of amazing aquatic creatures, including tropical sharks, rays, seahorses, puffer fish, piranhas, and so many more.
We house a mix of tropical fish from around the world, as well as many that are native to the UK waters. Wander through our Underwater Tunnel to watch our fascinating marine life swim over your head.
We’re also the only aquarium in the UK to feature a giant botanical house, known as our Urban Jungle, filled with hundreds of exotic plant and tree species from around the world!
What makes us a great choice for education
We offer a range of educational packages to suit a variety of topics from “Under the Sea” which broadly looks at aquatic environments and how animals are adapted to their habitats, and “Save our Seas” which focusses on marine conservation, human impacts on the environment and what we can do to protect our oceans.
What is typically included on our school trips
We offer self led visits as well as guided tour packages – our packages are 1hr in length and include an exclusive fish feeding experience, hands-on interactive workshop and a fun, educational journey through the aquarium.
