The glass viewing pod is fully enclosed and spacious – it’s 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule! There is room for up to 175 visitors to stand at the edge of the pod and look out, or to move around and see the view from different angles. Our friendly guest experience hosts will welcome you, and answer any questions!

Enjoy views from above the UNESCO biosphere, The Living Coast, stretching between Newhaven and Shoreham-by-Sea in Sussex, and view the historic ruins of Brighton’s West Pier!

The pod is heated and air-conditioned to ensure year-round comfort and it is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

At the end of your journey, the pod descends into the beach building, where guests have access to a free exhibition, which explains the architecture, engineering and sustainability which lies at the core of the design of Brighton i360.

As well as being home to Brighton’s best views, Brighton i360 has a colourful open-air beachside roller rink with capacity for up to 70 skaters of all abilities.

The pod

The Brighton i360 Viewing Pod is the ideal experience to inspire and educate young minds of all ages. From learning about the city of Brighton from a bird’s eye view to discovering the innovative engineering and construction of the site.

School groups are invited onto Brighton i360 to glide up to 450ft in the spacious glass viewing pod to spot Brighton landmarks from up high, charting the city’s historical and contemporary landmarks. Further learning can then take place in the free exhibition, ‘Brighton i360: How it was Built’, which charts the pioneering engineering and design that place our attraction at the forefront of British architecture.

Since opening in August 2016, Brighton i360 has been honored with 29 fantastic awards.

Move the classroom to the skies with a school trip to Brighton i360. We offer Key Skills 1 and Key Skills 2 STEM 3-week lesson plans upon request.

School groups are invited to discover the world around them with a journey to 138 metres or 450ft on our beautiful glass viewing pod. Further learning can take place in our free exhibition, ‘Brighton i360: How it was Built’, which charts the pioneering engineering and design that place our attraction at the forefront of British architecture.

NEW: School groups can now get active and roll up to Brighton i360’s open-air beachside roller rink for a Skate 360 experience! Brighton i360 also offers multi-attraction tickets with the City’s historic Royal Pavilion and neighbouring Upside Down House.

We offer newly updated free lesson plans for KS1 and KS2 and curriculum-based activity sheets. These are available upon request.

Groups can take photographs and videos. No restrictions applied unless they are a doing this in a professional capacity. (i.e. professional photographer/ working for the media).

At the base of the observation tower, visitors will have access to our free exhibition detailing the construction process and key architectural facts behind the building of the Brighton i360. Remember to peek into the glass floor to watch the mechanics in motion!

Visitors will also find the Brighton i360 gift shop at beach level, offering unique gifts with a heap of Brightonian personality! From school trip favourites like keyrings and magnets to sustainable toys, attraction guidebooks, and locally crafted keepsakes – we have
something for everyone!

Although we do not have dedicated facilities to eat a packed lunch, picnics can be eaten on the beach or on seating around the public plaza to our west. Brighton i360 has dedicated beachfront event spaces that are also available for hire for longer durations of time, with options including food packages and conference style set ups.

Public toilets and WC facilities exclusively for ticket holders are available throughout the Brighton i360 site.

Brighton i360 is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

All guests with a disability are entitled to bring a companion or carer to Brighton i360 free of charge. A companion may be a family member, friend or registered carer.

A lift (suitable for use by wheelchair users) connects the upper level and the beach level. The lift is situated to the east of Brighton i360, next to the West Beach Café & Bar.

Disabled parking is available at Regency Square Car Park and there is a subway leading from the car park through to beach level.

Once at Brighton i360, there is an accessible toilet on both the upper and lower levels.

Assistance dogs are permitted at Brighton i360, but please advise us when you make your booking if you are bringing your dog. The dog must remain under your control at all times, and you must be confident that your dog will not be distressed by travelling in the enclosed glass viewing pod.

Our guest experience hosts are available should you require any assistance and are happy to answer any queries.

We keep a limited number of wheelchairs at Brighton i360 for use during your pod journey. These are available on a “first come, first served” basis from our ticket office and are not available to pre-book. Your credit card details must be given as security, and we may charge you up to £250 if the wheelchair is damaged or not returned.

There is a safety limit on the number of wheelchairs permitted on the pod on any one timeslot.  We therefore recommend that you book your timeslot as early as possible.

Visitors with hearing difficulties should preface the number with 18002 to use the Next Generation Text Service. Please note that no telephone booking fee applies to bookings for visitors with disabilities. Please provide us with as much information as possible about your access needs when you make your booking.

About The Visit to The i360:

Attie (Y5): “Visiting the i360 was so cool – I loved seeing the artwork on the top of local buildings!”

Hannah (Y5): “It was a fun experience. I loved looking down at people on the ground – they looked like ants!”

Teacher (Maurice Leahy): “The children were thrilled to visit the i360. It allowed them to see their local area in different way and they were surprised at the new things they spotted. From a teaching and learning point of view, the school was able to capture their enthusiasm and we took part in an exciting writing project. Children used some the writing techniques from i360 promotional materials and created media for their own viewing towers. It was a big hit and a project we will certainly repeat in the future.”

Attie: “I really enjoyed creating my own viewing tower. I could imagine people visiting my tower and having fun. My tower had a video game theme and you could sky dive from it.”

Hannah: “It was an exciting project. I imagined I was very rich, so I could make any tower I wanted. I designed a platform you could jump from and land on a giant soft cushion.”
