Blackland Farm Outdoor Centre is a 127 acre, independently owned centre in Sussex, situated between Brighton and London.
We stand for delivering fantastic outdoor experiences that help shape young people and adults into the best versions of themselves- through proactive programmes that develop respect, confidence, communication and resilience. We go above and beyond to give you the power to achieve your desired outcomes in a safe, relaxed, and fun environment at affordable prices, in order to ensure that everyone can have them.
We have over fifty adventurous activities on and off-site, ranging from watersports to roped sessions, land and target sports, as well as indoor and outdoor accommodation options, alongside day trips.

Group sizes


Our three lodges can sleep 25, 30 and 38 respectively in Restrop Lodge, Wagtail Lodge and Weavers Lodge. Booked together they sleep 93.
Our campsites have capacity for around 2000 campers.
Our standard group activity sizes are 12.
Room types, sizes


We have three lodges on-site, ranging from traditional to modern, with the capacity to sleep 93 in total.
Restrop Lodge is a traditional lodge with single dormitory for 22, staff room for 3, self-catering kitchen, communal lounge and shared bathrooms.
Wagtail Lodge is a traditional lodge with single dormitory for 26, staff room for 4, self-catering kitchen, communal classroom and shared bathrooms. Wagtail and Restrop sit side-by-side on our site and are often booked together for multi-gender groups.
Weavers Lodge is a modern eco-lodge for 38 with 4 x 8 bed dormitories plus en-suite rooms for staff. It has a self-catering kitchen and two communal lounges plus bathrooms.
Our campsites offer private toileting and shower facilities split by gender and age, with spacious flat grass pitches for large or small groups.

Pricing information


All visiting groups are offered the same pricing structure regardless of background, age or ability. We endeavour to create affordable, brilliant experiences accessible to all and are happy to discuss bespoke requirements. Our standard offer is (per person):
Camping: 1 night / 2 night / 3 night / 4 night £120 / £215 / £250 / £310
Camping Pods: 1 night / 2 night / 3 night / 4 night £150 / £230 / £275 / £320
Indoor Accommodation: 1 night / 2 night / 3 night / 4 night £180 / £250 / £325 / £400
All Inclusive Residential Packages include all activities, full catering, serving and washing up, cleaning and servicing, 24/7 support from a designated member of Blackland Farm Outdoor Centre staff, Welcome Talk with objective setting, Exit Talk with outcome review, early check in and late check out, and a school assembly at your school.
Adult / Teacher places are free of charge with an allocated group.
We have a winter offer where residential stays between November and February are offered their accommodation free of charge with an activity package.
First Aid


All of our staff are first aid trained, including 24/7 duty management, although group leaders are responsible for the administration of first aid to guests in the first instance.
