What we offer on a school trip
At Llain, we have over 30 years’ experience organizing residential schools trips. Spread over 10 acres on a former farm, the centre has a homely feel and is away from any other buildings, being surrounded by private land. We have a whole range of activity equipment on site, including a 2-acre lake for our watersports. We can accommodate 100+ on site in accommodation such as the self-contained chalets, which are very popular with school groups and sleep 8 in each. The chalets encourage independence while remaining safe. There is also a bunkhouse which sleeps 30+ in large rooms and with leader rooms. A converted Stable sleeps 10 children and a teacher and we have a Scandinavian Lodge which is upmarket and made available to larger school groups. No other groups are present on site during a school residential trip. The catering block is located in the converted 17th century cowshed and the food is plentiful, wholesome, home cooked, and always gets great reviews. Everything a school needs is to be found on site with communal areas, a disco room, a playing field and we are currently building a swimming pool with a climbing wall over the water, which will be ready for September 2021. Camping is also offered for schools wishing to be closer to nature and we have Bushcraft sites for organised activities and fire pits for client use.
