Students staying with us on one of our residential activity programmes will be busy from the time they arrive to the minute they leave, playing team games, competitions and instructed indoor and outdoor activities. Our 7 private accommodation lodges are all under one roof, and there is plenty of secure and comfortable space for students to explore.
Whitemoor Lakes is light and modern in design, the perfect environment in which to experience an activity driven midweek 2 night, 3 day stay. Optimizing potential has never been such fun and all of our activities are purpose designed to boost teamwork, master new skills and increase self- worth.
Whitemoor Lakes occupies a 25 acre grassland site with ample room for free time activities such as football and team games. Our 40 acre lake completes our ideal location, by offering a wide range of exciting watersport activities. On site we offer challenging and adrenaline fueled outdoor instructed activities to include high ropes, sailing, kayaking, zip wires, climbing, abseiling, challenge courses, fencing, camp-fire, indoor orienteering, disco, archery, canoeing, night-walk, birds of prey and problem solving. Indoors we offer table tennis, 5-a-side, air-hockey, volleyball and basketball.

Whitemoor Lakes provides a range of school adventure and activity residential packages suitable for primary and secondary school pupils which can be individually tailored towards the needs of the group, to ensure we meet their desired outcomes wherever possible.

We are a British Canoe Union Approved Centre, and an Approved Sailing Centre for the Royal Yachting Association, offering exceptionally well trained instructors committed to providing only the very highest levels in sailing tuition. Our AALA licence and LOtC Quality Badge are testament to us meeting the strictest criterion for organisers planning educational visits and outdoor learning pursuits.

We supply information packs to group leaders prior to arrival, detailing useful information about the centre.
One particular residential package we offer is the Explore residential, designed to challenges the students even further. As well as developing them physically and mentally, the Explore residential experience offers a unique enrichment opportunity for students to grow spiritually and emotionally in community.
Alongside taking part in our exciting range of outdoor pursuits, students engage in the Zone: multimedia, interactive learning workshops that allow them to explore and reflect on key issues that face young people in the 21st century. The Zone incorporates games, activities, films, inspirational talks and small group discussions to open up the topics in a way that is engaging and relevant. There are 2 Explore programmes to choose from:
1) Explore: me. Students take time to explore the emotions, feelings and values they hold which determine the way they engage with the world around them. This programme works particularly well with Key Stage 3 students.
2) Explore: relationships. Students are encouraged to reflect on the mechanics of different relationships with friends and family, and explore how to build and maintain relationships that secure the best outcome for themselves and other people. This programme works particularly well with older Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?
Visitors are allowed to take photos and video footage but this needs to be in line with our own company policy when other groups are on site.

What does it cost?
Our seasonal prices for full board accommodation start from £48.34 (+ VAT) per person for a 2 night stay. Our all-inclusive schools activity programmes start from £69.00 (+ VAT) per person. School group discounts are available for accompanying adults.
Tailor-made day activity programmes are also available at Whitemoor Lakes, with Activity sessions starting at £91.20 (+ VAT) per group of 12.
Is specific clothing required?
Whitemoor Lakes provide a kit list to help you bring the most appropriate clothing for activities.
Do you have first aid on site?
All staff at the centre are First Aid trained. There is a dedicated First Aid room within the main building.
What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?
All school residential packages are fully catered and we can accommodate 270 diners per sitting in our beautiful Edmund’s Dining room. In fine weather guests can choose to eat outside on picnic benches or enjoy a pre-arranged barbeque cooked lakeside.
We have an onsite tuck shop selling refreshments and souvenirs and there are 2 vending machines situated within the main public area. We recommend children bring no more than £5 to the centre.
There is free tea/coffee available for teachers and group leaders, together with free Wi-Fi internet access in designated public areas.
Whitemoor Lakes offers a variety of meeting rooms:
- 2 large meeting venues seating 300 and 150 theatre style with lakeside views
- 4 break-out rooms seating 40 theatre style
- 2 portable speech PA systems available plus flipcharts, TV’s, DVD players and video projector
- Large portable television
- Televisions and DVD players in all 7 lodge lounges
- Full size sports hall
Are there disabled facilities?
Whitemoor Lakes provides facilities and activities suitable for the full disability spectrum. Used by many special schools, disability and medical organizations throughout the year, our assisted hoist enables wheelchair users to experience the zip wire and abseil activities.
We also have an electric hoist to transfer guests from wheelchair to a bed or chair and when required, we can alter the height of a bed or dining table using special raisers. The centre has one lightweight wheelchair and outdoor ramp. Please contact us directly to discuss how we might meet your specific needs and let us help you make a difference.
What are your opening days and hours?
We are open 24 hours per day and Whitemoor Lakes is open all year round apart from Christmas Day.

At Whitemoor Lakes we are passionate about providing pupils with opportunities to shine and then, with all they have learned about themselves and their peers, step boldly into everything the future has to offer.
We believe that young people can learn to ‘overcome’ and as their confidence grows, so they will develop resources within that can be called upon back in the classroom and in times of challenge. Through our instructed adventure activities, your pupils will push through their perceived personal limits and develop empathy for those different to themselves, so learning the value of team.
