What size groups do they cater for?

Gaveston Hall can take a maximum capacity of 120 children, so there is likely to only be a few schools on site at once. Larger groups could even take sole occupancy.

Please give information regarding room sizes and room facilities?

There is a mixture of dormitory and chalet based accommodation. The dormitories can see around 14 children per dormitory and there is shared bathroom facilities within the main house. 

The chalets hold around 10 – 12 children and have ensuite bathrooms with two showers and two toilets in each.

What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?

We provide teacher packs to help plan the trip, but nothing linked to curriculum unless specifically requested.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?

Yes.

How do you arrange a risk assessment?

We have risk assessments for the centre and also each of the activities we offer. These are available on our website. Visits can be arranged to have a look around the site. Our team visit the centre on regular dates throughout the year teachers can book on when it is convenient. 

What does it cost?

All inclusive, four night residential break with a full activity programme in the summer term is from £230. A free teacher place is available for every 10 children.

Discounts are available for larger groups and off peak trips will be available at reduced prices.

Is specific clothing required?

No.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

All our In2action staff will have a basic one day first aid qualification and our Adventure Managers will hold a Four day at work First Aid qualification.

All our trips include three meals a day during the trip starting with dinner on the arrival day and ending with lunch on the departure day.

The centre has teacher staff room that is available throughout the trip. Tea and coffee is available here for teachers throughout the trip.

A large hall is also available for getting the children together. There is also large football pitch and tennis courts for any free time. The centre also has a swimming pool for organised activities

Are there disabled facilities?

There is disabled access in the chalet based accommodation.

What are your opening days and hours?

We operate throughout the year between February and October.

Do you have any testimonials from previous customers who have visited you on an educational visit?

This centre is new for 2016.
