Adventure Central is committed to helping primary schools offer their pupils high quality residential adventures, full of activities and fun for all.


We aim to do this while keeping prices as low as possible and you pay the same low price whatever dates you choose. Quite simply, we want these trips to be as inclusive as they can be.


Our belief is that all primary school pupils should have the opportunity to enjoy the thrills of being away from home and having the time of their lives, learning valuable life skills along the way.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

Behind Adventure Central is a team of people who have many years’ experience of running school trips. Our aim is to provide good quality yet more affordable adventures for primary schools.


We understand the challenges head teachers face in finding affordable trips for the dates when they need to travel without disrupting the curriculum. We also believe that primary school aged pupils in particular should benefit from experienced instructors who have the maturity and skills to ensure their safety, enjoyment and skills development.

What size groups do they cater for?

We have no minimum group size and can cater for up to 400 guests at one time.

What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?

All teachers will receive a teacher’s pack that will assist them in every part of organizing the school trip. We also have a comprehensive list of all activities and learning outcomes, to help them choice the best itinerary for their group.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?

Yes.

How do you arrange a risk assessment?

We have all risk assessment documents for the teachers to assist them through this process.

What are the contact details for their education officer?

All teachers should come through our head office, who will assist them in the planning and delivery of their school trip.


What does it cost?

As part of our on-going support to Schools, Parents and Pupils, we aim to keep prices as low as possible and offer the dates that you want to travel.

We have an Introductory offer available for a limited period only….

•    £250 for a 5 day residential  (usually £260)

•    £215 for a 4 day residential  (usually £225)

•    £155 for a 3 day residential  (usually £165)

•    £95 for a 2 day residential  (usually £105)

Is specific clothing required?

The party leader will be given a kit list to distribute to all students involved. This forms part of the Party Leader information.


Do you have first aid on site?

All of our instructors are fully trained in first aid, however it is advisable to bring your own qualified first aider who can administer any medication that is required or prescribed.

What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?

At our Minehead Adventure Centre our facilities include:

Heated outdoor & indoor pools, beach access, sports fields, sports courts, high ropes course, zip wire, restaurant, disco, fairground, supermarket and shops, cinema, 10-pin bowling, entrainment, coffee shop, Internet and Wi-Fi access and 24-hour security.
