Our 3* centre is situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons overlooking the River Tawe. It is the ideal location for an educational trip whatever your academic focus. From the dramatic glacier carved landscape to the industrialised Swansea valley, students can apply their knowledge from the classroom to the visual evidence on the ground.

why you are great for educational visits?

Sbri Cymru is a school outdoor education specialist in South Wales. We work regularly with school groups from Key Stage 2 upwards, to provide curriculum linked courses and activity packages.

Our packages can be tailored to meet your individual needs and are delivered by highly qualified instructors. Our activities include Archery, Bushcraft, Air Rifle Shooting, Caving, Climbing and Abseiling, Gorge Walking, Orienteering, Mountain Walking, Rockhopping and Canoeing.

We can also help you to organise your own trips to any of the local attractions such as the Dan Yr Ogof Showcaves, Big Pit National Coal Museum or Caerphilly Castle.

What size groups do they cater for?

Our residential activity centre will accommodate up to 35 people.

Is there anything you offer specifically for educational visits?

We are able to provide work sheets linked to specific sections of the curriculum if requested. Our highly qualified instructors are passionate about the outdoors and will give you valuable insight into the various environments our activities take place in.


Can you provide information regarding room sizes and room facilities?

3* accommodation including 5 bunk rooms on the ground floor (4 x 6 beds and 1 x 4 beds) and 3 rooms (1 En Suite x 2 Beds, 1 En Suite x 4 Beds and 1 x Single) on the first floor.

Are visitors allowed to take photos, video or audio, if appropriate?

We do not have any restrictions regarding photography, video or audio recordings provided all participants consent.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

We have comprehensive risk assessments in place for all our activities which can be provided upon request. Fire checks and drills are carried out weekly.

What is the cost of the accommodation?

Accommodation is available from £19 pppn based on a minimum of 20 people.

•    Dining room where all full board residential groups will receive breakfast and dinner served by our in house chef. Packed lunches will be provided before the days activities. Catering available from £15 pppd based on a minimum of 20 people.

•    Tea and coffee facilities available all day.

•    Large Teaching with a Plasma Screen TV, DVD Player and Freeview Box, whiteboards and LCD Projector.

•    WiFi available.

•    Boot storage area.

•    Drying room.


Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

Residential staff can be arranged, and they can provide full First Aid Cover if required.
