Set in 130 acres of picturesque grounds, Stubbers offers residential stays in either our residential centre, Maple Lodge or in our tent villages. Catered or self catering is available. From May to October a varied evening entertainment programme is available included in the price for Residential trips.

Stubbers Adventure Centre boats the widest range of onsite activities in the South East set in 130 acres of picturesque grounds. A trip to Stubbers gives young people the opportunity to learn and develop social and interpersonal skills with confidence through participation in adventurous activities.
Your children’s experience at Stubbers encourages successful learning, building positive attitudes, giving encouragement to others and experiencing the benefits of peer support through a variety of challenges and experiences.
Stubbers Adventure Centre was awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom quality badge in 2009 for not only our commitment to engage in high quality learning outside the classroom but in our successful delivery.
We also offer offsite day trips Climbing, Kayaking and Canoeing and Sailing.
We are also an approved activity provider for Duke of Edinburgh award scheme expeditions.
Is there anything you offer specifically for educational visits?
Activity trips to Stubbers are tailored to the needs and objectives of each group. To help Teachers with planning outcomes our Learning outcomes and session objectives handbook is available to download from our website where Teachers can also find; Leaders Handbook, Certificates and Insurance details and a sample letter for Parents following a booking.
What size groups do they cater for?
From 10 to 500.
Can you provide information regarding room sizes and room facilities?
Maple Lodge: Sleeps 48 in bedrooms of 6 in bunk beds with separate rooms for Leaders / Teachers.
Camping options in our Tented Villages sleeping from 10 to 96.
Shared bathrooms with separate facilities for Leaders / Teachers.
The Lounge contains a TV and DVD player.
Are visitors allowed to take photos, video or audio, if appropriate?
If appropriate yes groups may take photos or videos of their groups.
What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
Our risk assessments are available to download from our website.
On site visits can be arranged in advance with our bookings team.
What is the cost of the accommodation?
Prices vary depending on length of stay and whether catered or self catered options are chosen. Off season discounts from November to May. With reduced price per head when booking for groups of 40 or more.
For residential visits you will be given one free leaders space for every activity group booked. Subsequent leaders will subject to accommodation and catering charges. Special cases can be discussed at time of booking.
Please list facilities available?
Within our picturesque 130 acre site we are pleased to provide, full changing and shower facilities. The Source Coffee shop is open every day providing high quality drinks and snacks. The Young adventurers play park is available for use under the supervision of group leaders.
Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
All staff are qualified first aiders, for first aid outside opening times the Duty Manager is available for emergencies however for minor first aid, groups will need to provide their own first aider and kit.
Are there disabled facilities?
For groups with access problems we are pleased to provide accessible accommodation for 2 wheelchair users and 2 carers. Situated next to Maple Lodge the Disabled access caravan is available to groups during their stay. Ramped access, kitchen, lounge with TV, bathroom / wet room and 2 bedrooms, both sleeping 2 people, 1st bedroom with support handles over the beds and wide floor space, 2nd bedroom smaller for carers.
At Stubbers there is something for everyone. All ages (8+) and abilities can take part, achieve their goals and enjoy their visit. Most activities can be tailored to all ability levels and some are supported with specialist activity equipment including Access 303 wide sailing dinghies and disabled access hoist at our motor sports and sailing lakes.
