At Danbury we have a range of facilities and accommodation to meet your needs. Our log cabins can sleep up to 110 on internal accommodation and our camping grounds can accommodate up to 300 in tented accommodation.

We can cater for all of our customers in our brand new dining hall, which can also be hired as a training/conference venue. We also have a state-of-the-art conference room available to hire.

Danbury is conveniently located just one mile from J18 on the A12, just 5 miles from Chelmsford city centre. Both London and Cambridge are less than an hour away.

With a fantastic range of facilities and activities, Danbury offers the perfect setting for enjoying residential adventurous activity courses, and our trained and qualified staff will tailor your programme to meet your needs.

Each visit to us is completely tailored to your group – we will work closely with you prior to your arrival with us to ensure your program is exactly what you require.

What group sizes do you cater for?
We can accommodate up to 450 participants on site, with up to 110 in internal accommodation and approx. 300 in tented accommodation; and we can deliver activity sessions for 250 at any one time.

Please give information regarding room sizes and room facilities?
Our log cabins accommodate either 10 or 12 people, with 8 or 10 beds in the dormitory room and 2 beds in the leader’s room. All of the cabins have en-suite accommodation, and some of them have accessible wetrooms.
Our tented accommodation can accommodate up to 300 people in 8-man patrol tents.

What is the cost of the accommodation?
Our fully-catered camping price is £30pp, and includes 3 hot meals per 24-hr period.
Our fully-catered cabin price is £37pp, and includes 3 hot meals per 24-hr period.
We also offer one free teacher/leader place per group of 10.

What is your process for booking pre-arranged risk assessments?
We can supply any necessary risk assessments for our sites and activities as part of the visit planning process with us. If you are an Essex school or youth organisation subscribing to our Educational Visits service, this will be taken care of as part of your submission for the visit.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
All of our instructional team hold first aid qualifications and have been trained to high standards relevant to both paediatric and outdoor scenarios. There is always a duty first-aider available when groups are on site.

Our activities range from archery, BMX, canoeing and mountain biking, through to aerial trekking, climbing, high ropes and quad biking. We also offer problem-solving, team-building and obstacle course sessions, and in 2017 we unveiled our brand new caving system and ‘vertical’ obstacle course!
