Description

The International Inn offers award winning, good value 3 star hostel style accommodation in the heart of Liverpool's City Centre. Developed within a converted Victorian warehouse, the hostel is modern and cosmopolitan whilst still retaining traditional character combined with the latest modern facilities. We have en-suite accommodation for over 100 people in multi rooms for 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 10 people, plus private double pod hotel style rooms on site.

We have a large lounge and games room with leather sofas, pool table, PS2’s, Wii, flat screen television (free DVD rental). We also have a large, fully equipped dining kitchen with free tea, coffee (fair trade) and toast on 24 hours a day. On site we have a laundry, secure luggage storage, full heating, free wi-fi, onsite internet cafe and information desk with details of all local attractions. Bedding is provided and no curfew - open 24 hours a day. From £15pn

We have someone on reception 24hrs, public areas are covered by CCTV.

The public airport bus stop for the number 80A and 86A is at the end of our road.  The airport shuttle bus stop is 10-15mins walk away.  Train and coach station 10-15 mins walk away or approx £3-4 taxi ride. Open all year round.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

We sell tickets for city bus tours, The Beatles Story exhibition and LFC tours. These can all be purchased from reception. We are particularly well located for Cathedral visits as we are located midway between the two being just around the corner from the Metropolitan Catholic Cathedral.

We are walking distance to all Liverpool City centre visitor attractions.

We are also well located for music and theatre visits being one block around the corner from the Philharmonic Concert Hall and Everyman Theatre.  Both Universities are in the immediate proximity and we are right opposite the John Moores University Student Union. 

The Albert Dock is approximately a 20 minute walk away.

What size groups do they cater for?

Any size up to 112 in the hostel in a mix of dormitory style accommodation and private rooms.  Plus a further 32 private rooms in the Cocoon pod hotel..

All hostel rooms and dormitories are all en-suite with secure key card entry.

Towels are not included but may be hired. The dorms predominantly contain full size bunk beds.

In the Cocoon Pod Hotel we have 27 x double rooms, 3 x twin rooms, 2 x single rooms.  All hotel rooms are internal cabins containing flat screen TV’s, tea/coffee making facilities, iPod docking stations, toiletries and towels.

Are visitors allowed to take photos, video or audio, if appropriate?

Guests have permission if appropriate.

Upon request risk assessments can be provided. Weekly fire checks plus annual electrical test.

Usual Hostel price:

Sunday – Thursday all dorm beds £17 per bed per night, private twin or doubles £38 per room per night.

Friday – Saturday all dorm beds £22 per bed per night, private twin or doubles £47 per room per night.

Usual Cocoon Pod Hotel price:

Sunday – Thursday all rooms £45 per room per night

Friday – Saturday all rooms £55 per room per night. Special events/public holidays may affect

price and availability.

All prices inclusive of VAT.

Do you have first aid on site?

All our staff are first aid qualified at time of writing.

What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?

We have a large lounge/games room complete with pool table, play station 2’s, Wii, large flat screen TV, free DVD hire. This room can be used for as an area for meetings/gathering and can be closed off to others for a set time with prior arrangement at no extra cost.  

There is a fully equipped kitchen available for use in the hostel where free tea, coffee and toast is provided 24hrs.

Free WIFI is provided in all public areas.

Separate Private meeting room seating 20 can be pre-booked free of charge.

Are there disabled facilities?

Due to constraints of the original Victorian building we do not have any disabled access.  All dorms are on one floor. We have had disabled groups before but please be aware there are 5 steps down from street level into reception, 7 steps up to floor where the dorms are. 2 dorms have single beds as opposed to bunk beds please specify at booking time if these are needed.  All bathrooms have shower with one step up into it.

We have three different type of accommodation. International Inn Hostel, Cocoon Boutique Pods and self serviced apartments. All rooms are en-suite.
