Circus Sensible provide Circus skills workshops, circus based entertainment and other workshops (Drum and dance in particular) to primary schools all over the UK.

We can come with or without one of our beautiful ‘baby’ Big Tops. All we need for the tents is a piece of relatively flat, well drained grass.

Why is this School Workshop great for educational needs?

Our Circus Big Tops create that extra special something to make the day totally memorable for the children. Everyone in the school gets to see a show in the tent and everyone has a go at a wide range of Circus skills.

It has been shown that Circus skills can help children perform better in all areas of their academic school life, Children can achieve a lot in a very short time.

Circus skills can help with self esteem, hand eye co-ordination, team building, physical fitness etc, and can be integrated into many areas of the curriculum, including Maths, Physics etc.

What does a typical school workshop include?

When we bring our ‘baby’ Big Tops, we set up our tent on the school field and start the day with a show for up to 300 children in the tent. The children then come to the tent and/or the school hall if available, for workshop sessions of between 30 minutes and an hour.

The sessions include some structured work and some ‘open’ time, where the children can choose what skills they have a go at. We sometimes end with some of the children demonstrating what they have learnt.

What group sizes do you cater for?

We generally set the maximum for each session as 35, but we can manage more at a pinch. In a typical Circus Day with Circus Sensible up to 400 children can have a go at Circus skills and also see a show in the tent.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?
