Description

Imagine a 75,000sq.ft child-size city where kids are in charge! Open since early 2015, KidZania has landed in Westfield London.

Have your kids ever dreamt of becoming a pilot, a firefighter, or the next award-winning singer? Watch the excitement on their face as they try out more than 60 real life role-play activities in the bank, on stage or fighting crime on the streets as a police officer!

Each role-play experience is crafted to teach kids essential life skills including; financial literacy, team work and independence. Designed to empower kids, KidZania gives them the confidence to challenge themselves, and inspire them to explore the world of opportunities.

Where else could your kids experience sitting in the cockpit of a real plane?’

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

Learning is at the very heart of KidZania’s values, our cross-curricular educational experience will challenge and inspire children from Reception to KS3.

KidZania provides an authentic and powerful introduction to the world of work and careers for under 14s where children begin to understand the nature of work, the diversity and function of business, and its contribution to national prosperity. Just like in the real world in order to earn money (in KidZania the currency is ‘KidZos’) you have to work! In KidZania the work children do is taking part in the role-play activities.

KidZania is all about ‘doing’ and represents experiential learning at its very best. Every activity has been developed by qualified teachers and is fully cross-referenced to the new National Curriculum:   Maths, English, science, design and technology, computing and every subject are learned through the motivating medium of realistic role-play.

However, the learning extends way beyond the curriculum and children will develop a wide range of essential skills and attributes including: team working, communication, entrepreneurship, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, global citizenship, digital literacy and resilience.

To ensure that schools can make the most of their visit we have prepared differentiated online curriculum resources that provide pre and post visit suggestions to extend and embed the learning.
