Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

Indoor Rock Climbing is one of a select group of activities which helps the individual to develop ‘life skills’. Team working, Trust, Confidence Building, Co-ordination, Spatial Awareness and Determination are all key skills which participants are required to develop to be successful at the sport. Due to its reliance on these ‘life skills’, it truly is an activity which is open to all, success is very much down to the individuals ability to carry out these skills in a practical situation. From our experiences here at The Climb, some of the greatest development has come from those participants who are often regarded as ‘less sporty’ or ‘lacking confidence’.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

At The Climb, All groups are treated as individual clients. We aim to tailor all our sessions to meet the requirements of the group. Working with the school to establish a basic framework, we can adjust our session times, sizes, and content to ensure all needs are catered for in the allocated time frames. Does your school have any specific requirements, if so, let us know, we will endeavour to provide the service you require.

What size groups do they cater for?

Current maximum group sizes are limited to 12 persons. This number suits our facility well, it ensure a maximum Pupil / Student ratio of 6:1. It also ensures all participants are kept busy, active and occupied for the whole session allocation.

What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?

We can provide all our client schools with any supporting information required, we regularly provide; certificates of achievement, GCSE grading tables for both individuals and groups, Supporting letters to moderators, Session plans and course content materials.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?
