For Educational visits we have our dedicated Education Centre, situated within the Theme Park at Cloud Cuckoo Land, where we offer educational talks from Key Stages 1 up to 5 for just £1.50 per pupil. Our wide range of talks include subjects such as The Science of Rollercoasters, Marketing, History and Mathematics.

What size groups do they cater for?
Our educational talks can hold up to 80 pupils per session.
What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?
We have various resources and information packs available to download from our website for both teachers and pupils. We also have a free downloadable risk assessment available for teachers to use when planning their trip.
Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?
Children can take photos, video or audio whilst making their way around the Theme Park, however this is not permitted on any of our rides or attractions.
How do you arrange a risk assessment?
For teachers who wish to visit the Alton Towers Resort for a risk assessment prior to their trip we offer free teacher planning tickets. This gives you two complimentary tickets into the Theme Park in order to familiarise yourself with the area and finalise any plans.

What does it cost?
Our prices at the Alton Towers Resort are extremely reasonable. Our prices are below and we also offer 1 free teacher place for every five paying primary school pupils and 1 free teacher place for every ten paying secondary school pupils

Is specific clothing required?
No specific clothing is required for the trip but we would advise for your group to prepare for all weather types.
Do you have first aid on site?
The Theme Park has a Medical Centre permanently staffed by fully qualified first aiders. The Medical Centre is located at the bottom of Towers Street between Towers Family Restaurant and the Towers Street Skyride station.
What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?
There are restaurants, cafes and snack bars in the Theme Park, there are also several shops where you can buy memorabilia of your day such as ride photos and gifts.
You can also pre-book your packed lunches to save your pupils bringing their own! For just £4.95 per lunch you have a choice of three options and the packs will be available for collection on the day of your visit.

The Alton Towers Resort strives to make sure that the Theme Park are easily accessible to all our guests. What are your opening days and hours?
The Theme Park opens at 9am and the rides start at 10am. The Theme Park for 2014 is open from 22nd March to 9th November.

Is there anything else that you feel is important and want to include in your information?
The Alton Towers Resort recognises that you will not always remain with your school group throughout the day, therefore we ask that you register your school group with Guest Services upon arrival into the Theme Park. Guest Services is located at the top of Towers Street, down the hill on the right hand side after you have gone through the turnstiles.
