Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre & Paddlesports Academy (WOEC) is a day centre providing land and water-based outdoor and adventurous activities for all age groups and abilities.  Our bespoke programmes combine learning, challenge, fun and adventure and support you in meeting your learning objectives.

Our staff are trained to a high level and have many years of experience.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

WOEC has been providing high quality learning in the outdoors for nearly fifty years.  All our programmes of activities are created in partnership with you to specifically meet the needs of your group.

The centre is located close to Dorset’s World Heritage Jurassic Coast with easy access to a range of exciting venues.  Activities can take place in the sheltered waters of Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour, on the cliffs and coastline of Portland or in the surrounding countryside.

For younger or less experienced groups, or for when the weather is poor, we are able to offer numerous on-site activities.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

We offer bespoke programmes including activities such as: sailing, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, abseiling, rock hopping, coasteering, orienteering, archery, team challenge and forest adventure.

We can offer half-day taster sessions, a programme spanning as many days as you wish, or regular weekly sessions over weeks or months.
