Exactly what does your venue offer to educational visits?

Go Ape is a great choice for school trips, especially if you’re looking to give your pupils an experience they will never forget. Encourage teamwork, build confidence and self-esteem all in the great outdoors.

Your class will be able to complete either the classic 2-3-hour Tree Top Adventure or the 1-hour Tree Top Junior Adventure, depending on their age and height. You must be over 1.4m and 10+ years to take part on Tree Top Adventure and over 1m tall to take part on Tree Top Junior. In both adventures your pupils will enjoy a range of fun challenges including wobbly obstacles, Tarzan swings, zip wires and more. Release the stresses of school life as you all unleash your inner Tarzans and enjoy getting back to nature. Whilst the classroom teaches basic concepts, there really is no substitute for real life experiences out in the wider world.

Challenge your students and encourage them to push themselves to try something new and live life adventurously. Overcoming positive challenges is essential for nurturing children’s personal development, life skills, and self-confidence.

Go Ape is available at 2 locations in London including:

Trent Park Country Park, Enfield, EN4 0PS (Tree Top Junior not available)

Battersea Park, Battersea, SW11 4NJ

Why you are you a great place for educational visits?

What does a typical educational visit include?

The exciting thing about Go Ape is that you can adapt your visit to specifically meet the needs of your own tribe. You use the forest space as your classroom (or there are forest shelters for hire should it rain!) and you can shape the day how you want it.

An example of what your day could look like:

1. Arrive at the forest. Gather the tribe and complete the obligatory bathroom stops

- Allow 30 minutes

2. Arrive at the Go Ape cabin ready for your adventure

- Allow 15 minutes to read through the necessary disclaimers

3. The whole Tribe enjoys their Tree Top Adventure

- Allow 1 hour for Tree Top Junior and up to 3 hours for the classic Tree Top Adventure

4. Sit down to lunch in the forest (or under our forest shelter if it rains!)

- Allow 1-1.5 hours

5. Complete a free learning resource available to download from goape.co.uk

- Allow 1 hour to complete your chosen learning resource sheet

6. Leave the forest with great memories of your day

What are your disabled facilities?

Go Ape is dedicated to welcoming as many people as possible. However, whilst our courses are designed to be accessible to most people they do offer a degree of physical and mental challenge. For some persons with special needs this may mean that additional equipment and/or levels of supervision will be required for safe participation. For others the risks of injury may still be too great despite taking such additional measures, preventing their use of the course. There is an Additional Support Requirements Guidelines available on goape.co.uk for more information.

What are your opening days and hours? During daylight hours between February - November (except Dec – Jan when the sites are closed for course maintenance)
