Home to 60 rides and attractions, and set in over 140 acres of beautiful gardens, Paultons is the ideal venue for an exciting and stimulating school visit. For those looking for a learning experience; take a workshop within the amazing and immersive Professor Blast’s Learning Lab – the UK’s most unique classroom. Paultons offers park-led workshops from Reception age to University level.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

Whether you are bringing your class for a reward trip, focussed learning day or a mixture of the both, Paultons Park is the ideal venue. Paultons is home to over 60 rides, attractions and animals, set in 140 acres of beautiful gardens.

Enjoy a workshop in Professor Blast’s Learning Lab. This highly themed immersive classroom ‘attraction’ will capture student’s imagination and provide a stunning setting for a curriculum-based session. Hands-on learning is encouraged in our ‘Science Explorer’ activity, where the physics behind the rides comes to life through a series of interactive exhibits.

Other workshops in the lab include ICT – Ride Control where students programme their very own K’NEX SkySwinger using a laptop and Flow Go control box. Out of the Lab, we run a popular half-day workshop called “Forces and Materials” where students are led on a tour of the park to discover (and experience) a range of forces for themselves. Our animals are also very special to us, and a range of workshops looking at habitats and adaptation is also offered – some of which take place in Professor Blast’s Learning Lab.

For older students we run series of focussed presentations including customer service, marketing and ICT. All presentations are supported by student booklets and a CD containing resources.

Paultons Park Education Department is a LOTC Quality Badge Holder and is led by a qualified teacher. We will support schools through the planning and risk assessment process and are able to offer advice on all aspects of the trip. Paultons is also able to offer bespoke workshops to support any area of the curriculum

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

Educational visits at Paultons Park can be tailored to meet the requirements of each school. Typically, park-led groups are met by our teaching staff at an allotted time and location. Most workshops are supported by stimulating worksheets which can either be completed during the workshop, or back in school as a follow up. Our workshops are run by experienced staff who are able to adapt their teaching style to suit the needs of learners.

We run a fabulous mix of workshops, all based around the National Curriculum. Professor Blast’s Laboratory is a stunning venue for a session based on physics, animals or ICT.

For older students, we run a range or presentations – great for business or tourism courses. These range from customer service, marketing to a general Paultons overview and case study of Peppa Pig World.

For more details on our workshops – please speak to our Education Officer either by email or by telephoning 023 8081 4442. Remember, we can tailor your program to suit your own learning objectives!
