4th Dimension offers probably one of the widest range of activities in the South East. We have a flexible approach offering courses of any duration and will listen to the needs of your school so that you book the right activities for your children.
We can offer indoor accommodation, camping and ‘glamping’. We have a full catering service and activities that run into the evening taking the pressure off your staff. We have a “Quality not Quantity philosophy”,
Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?
We are one of the few centres that have a Tree Track: an aerial adventure high in the trees and Katakanus which are an extremely safe way to experience the water for younger children (see http://www.kanakanu.com).
Alongside these we have 16 high rope activities (including 2 zip wires, 80 metres and 120 metres), low ropes, kayaking, open canoes, artificial wall and natural outcrop climbing, orienteering on a dramatised pictorial course and archery. We can run team building and problem solving courses for large groups of students.
What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?
We send a CD in an information folder with details of all our activities and every aspect of our policies. We then meet our potential clients at our venue to show them all aspects of our activity and accommodation provision.
The subsequent course will include all the activities that the customer requires.
Do you have a YouTube Video link regarding your venue?
We have a Powerpoint presentation on CD and are preparing a video presentation.
We have a video of our zip wire in action on our website.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?

How do you arrange a risk assessment?
We provide clients with all risk assessments, insurance documents and licensing details in CD format. We also have a Powerpoint presentation for you to show the parents at your school.
What does it cost?
Costs vary according to the duration of your stay, type of accommodation and whether you are booking a team building event or activities.
Is specific clothing required?
A kit list is provided when you book the course. We provide all activity specific safety equipment, which is regularly inspected and the results recorded.
Do you have first aid on site?
All activity staff are first aid qualified and carry kits to all activities. Each of our venues has a large group first aid kit.
What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?
Indoor accommodation, camping, glamping or local hotels.
Are there disabled facilities?
Two of the buildings are suitable for disabled access. We have had guests in wheelchairs, a guest who was profoundly blind and regularly have students who have autism or ADHD. With the appropriate arrangement with our clients we can provide a memorable and safe experience for the less able.
