Description

The London Waterbus Company operates a fleet of traditional narrow boats on the Regent's Canal in north London.  Opened in 1820 for cargo carrying, the waterway forms a green and peaceful route through Regent's Park, London Zoo and the Maida Hill Tunnel under Edgware Road, to the elegant architecture of Little Venice and the lively bustle of Camden Lock Market.

The industrial history and architecture of the canal can be seen along the way in structures such as the ornate wrought and cast iron bridges, the horse ramps and the marks left by the ropes of the cargo boats.  The passengers get the opportunity to experience travel on a historic ex-cargo carrying boat.
