They will need to bring a qualified first aider. (I’m a trained nurse as well, but I won’t necessarily be here all the time!) We provide a first aid box.

Please list facilities available.

We are a self-catering property. There is a large well-equipped kitchen with electric cooker, Aga, separate grill, 3 fridges, chest freezer, toaster, microwave and hot water urn. There is also a commercial dishwasher, which completes its cycle in 2 minutes – great for larger groups.

There are 2 dining areas. The larger one seats 32 people – and could also be used as a study area for school groups.

The smaller dining room seats 20 (often used as a breakfast room) and has a TV. The lounge area has a TV, piano, stereo and DVD player.

There is an information room opposite the main entrance hall, containing leaflets and information about activities / places of interest within a day-trip from Cilgwyn Manor.

We also have a dart board, small pool table and table football on the ground floor.

Outside there are large, park-like grounds and there is plenty of parking. We also have a trampoline and a 32’ above-ground swimming pool (unheated); plus 2 patio areas with plenty of tables and seating.

There is a gas BBQ with lava rocks. We offer free WiFi – although the speeds are quite slow out here!

There is also a laundry room with washing machine and tumble drier.

What are your disabled facilities?

Our doorways are very wide, so we’re able to accommodate wheelchair users. The ground floor is almost completely on one level, so disabled customers can easily access the dining rooms, lounge area, kitchen and toilets. The ground floor double / twin bedroom has toilet bars and grab rails in the en-suite bathroom. Although we don’t currently have a wet room, the ground floor shower room is equipped with grab rails and toilet bars – and we can also provide a shower stool.

What are your opening days and hours?

We’re open virtually all the time!

As this is such a large property, we don’t always hear the telephone – so we encourage people to leave a message (as we check them regularly); or to contact us via e-mail.

Do you have any testimonials from previous schools we can include?

We opened in April 2016 (after having some small groups of “test guests”) but haven’t had a school group yet! But we’ve had some reviews on TripAdvisor and on our Facebook page.
