Hangloose is one of Britain’s premier adventure centres. We offer a variety of activities to facilitate the learning and development of key skills such as; leadership, team building, independence, overcoming fears and motor skill development. Our activities range from England’s longest and fastest zip wire, Gravity a 20m giant cliff swing, Big Air learn to jump like a stuntman off a 10m platform, The Drop a 33ft true leap of faith attached to a descender,
climbing and abseil on our 16m wall.

Why you are you a great place for educational visits?
We offer a high standard of activities and professional staff operating the site with safety always in mind. We are situated in one of the most beautiful places in the world at the Eden Project, Cornwall. Residential packages can be created using the onsite accommodation provider YHA Eden Project.

Do you have the LOtC Quality Badge or any other accreditation such as AALA?
We have an ERCA trained technical advisor and all our staff are ERCA trained.

What does a typical educational visit include?
We create bespoke packages depending on the needs of the group. We have six activities to offer groups to create half day or full day packages, all of our activities have a minimum age limit of 8 years old and a minimum weight limit of 25kg except from the Skywire which as a minimum weight limit of 40kg. As we are an adventure company the main curriculum topic is PE however the Eden project offer a range of activities covering the majority of the school
curriculum.

What group sizes do you cater for?
We can cater for groups of all sizes dependent on the time and amount of activities.

Do you provide projects, teacher’s packs, work sheets or any useful information?
We can provide a School PDF document as to what we offer and any required form for the excursion.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?
If all parties have agreed with taking photos then it is acceptable.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
We have full risk assessments for all the activities we offer, these can be downloaded from our website or we can send them via email if asked for.

What is the cost of the visit?
We offer a variety of discounts depending on the size of a group and when they wish to visit such as 10%, 15%, 25% and 30%.

Is specific clothing required for the trip?
We would ask that participants wear a top or jumper that covers the shoulders and no short shorts, skirt or dresses due to the harnesses, we also ask that any footwear has full toe protection and is secure such as
trainers.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
We have first aiders and a first aid area on sites as well as access to on site
paramedics.

Please list facilities available?
We have an onsite shop selling various merchandise and snacks such as crisps, drinks and sandwiches. We
also have tables and areas available for picnics and lunch. We also have on site toilet facilities.

What are your disabled facilities?
We aim to provide vehicles to aid with access to our site. We try to accommodate as many people as possible depending on what the participant is comfortable with. An example of this is when we had a participant for the Skywire who was paralysed and did not mind being carried up the two flights of steps to reach the start of the launch tower.

What are your opening days and hours?
We are open for groups 7 days a week from 10am – 5pm, from the 5th November to the 31st March we are open from 10am – 4pm.

Is there anything else that you feel is important and want to include in your information?
The restrictions for activities is a minimum age of 8 years old and a minimum weight limit of 25kg. The Skywire has a separate minimum weight limit of 40kg which can be subject to change depending on weather conditions.
