Exactly what does your venue offer to educational visits?
The venue offers 9 different games. We will arrange the day around what you are looking to do.

Why you are you a great place for educational visits?
Mersey Games are fun and entertaining and help with team building skills and exercise.

What does a typical educational visit include?
The Mersey Games is Liverpool’s perfect team building activity to bring some fun and camaraderie to your educational group . Our 9 unique games will encourage both individual and team competition while building strong rapport and moral. The day is full of crazy outdoor antics that will give you all a break from the classroom . It’s a great team building day out that will never be forgotten.

Larger groups will be broken up into smaller teams who’ll then be pitted against each other. The highest scorer from each team will be selected for our final Horsey Hopper race where the top three will place on our podium.

The “also-rans” will then be sent to take on the Mersey Shower challenge. If they don’t answer the questions put to them by the group correctly, the bucket of icy water gets dropped!

The overall winner gets a Mersey Games Trophy and we’ll make sure you get lots of free photos of all the action. These will be great and permanent mementos of your fun team building day.

Details: Check in at reception.

The whole group will be divided into manageable sized groups. (5 x 16 people) Each group will then be assigned a Mersey Games guide, who’ll be there to explain the games including health and safety, keep score and take photos. We have 9 Mersey Games in total and 8 of them are competitive. (See Games List) Each of the 5 groups will compete amongst themselves within their group to determine the group winner in the first 8 games. Highest overall score wins. These 5 group winners, cheered on by their group members, will then take part in our Grand National game and race to determine who will finish in the top 3. (If there are joint group winners, the joint winners will all be entered into the final race) The top three will place on the podium. The Winner will be presented with a cup. The ‘also-rans’ from the final race will be taken to the Mersey Shower and placed on the ‘hot-seat’. From here they will be asked questions by the rest of the group and when they get a question wrong, the bucket of water will fall.

See google map https://merseygames.co.uk/contact-us/ for more details of parking, reception etc.

List of Competitive Games

The Grand National!

It wouldn’t be a trip to Liverpool without Aintree and the Grand National so we’ve devised a hilarious horse race for your group. You’ll be riding your very own inflatable horsey hoppers down our racetrack!

Bevvy Bungee Run!

Our challenge is a Bungee Run with a twist. You each get 3 cups, which you have to try to place on the 3 trays attached at different places along the Bevvy Bungee Run. You get more points the further you can place your cups but remember, the further you run, the harder you’ll fall!

Shoe Slinggin’!

Playing on the stereotype, you’ll be tossing those trainees at the targets to get points. You’ve 3 tyres to aim for that are worth more points as they get more difficult to hit. Reebok Classic!!

Penny Lane Bowlin’!

Getting points in this game will depend on getting a little help from your friends. We’ll get them to spin you around and around. Let’s see if you can hit the pins without falling over!

The Scouse Duel!

This is a best of three, gladiator duel with a difference. We’ve custom made our pugil sticks to have the shape of the famous St John’s Tower. The skyline of Liverpool will never look the same again!

The Derby!

The biggest rivalry in football happens twice a year on Merseyside as Liverpool’s Reds take on Everton’s Blues. We’ve set up a mock clash of these titans in the form of a sumo-wrestling match. You get to pick your team and try to take down your rival. You score points for tipping each other over or out of bounds. Best of three!

You’ll Never Walk Alone!

This may be the famous song of Liverpool FC but it’s also the name of our three-legged race. Well actually we’ll split your group in two and tie each groups’ legs together. You’ll then race against each other around our special course. Hilarious!

Ferry across the Mersey!

A Scouse take on the Tug o’ War! With the ferry in the middle it’s a team effort to pull the Ferry and oponents across the line

Final Game – Non Competitive

The Mersey Shower!

Suspended above the ‘hot-seat’ on our custom built frame is a bucket of icy water. The person in the ‘hot-seat’ will be asked questions by their group members. As soon as they get the question wrong, they get splashed.
