We are an all-inclusive accessible centre, which facilitates people from all backgrounds, ages, and abilities to enjoy and experience the benefits on getting on the water. We offer rowing, sailing, canoeing, raft building, powerboating and soon to be paddleboarding! No matter what your circumstance may be we aim to remove any barriers which may traditionally prevent you from accessing watersports (i.e. Financial, social, physical barriers, or barriers due to ethic minority group, social-economic status, social or disengaged background, mental health or medical conditions.)

Why you are you a great place for educational visits?
We will tailor the session to your needs we can offer multisport sessions or singe sport sessions. If you wish can get the children started on the RYA Youth Stages for sailing.

If you have a student with SEN we can organize for them to be included in the session but simply using the adapted boats and organizing trained volunteering to give 1-1 support.

We offer powerboat trips up the river where you can learn the history of the harbor.

What group sizes do you cater for?
Up to 30 students at any one time

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?
Yes, only restrictions are taking photos of other center users without their permission.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
We have a risk assessment we can send you. You can meet with us to see the center and the boats used if you wish.

What is the cost of the visit?
We offer £90 for a 2.5 hour session (including getting ready) per instructor. The student : instructor ratio is:
Sailing – 6:1
Rowing – 6:1
Canoeing/Kayaking – 8:1
Powerboating - 12:1 (Aiming High – large boat) or 6:1 (Pioneer – smaller boat)
N.B. the numbers for powerboating may reduce if wheelchair users are attending.

We cannot offer discounts to everyone, though we may consider certain cases.

Is specific clothing required for the trip?
Shoes that can get wet, clothes which are light and fast to dry.

We have buoyancy aids, wetsuits, and spray tops and trousers students can borrow.

It is best if they bring a change of clothes incase they get wet.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
All staff,instructors and volunteers are first aid trained.

Advised not to allow children to bring money.

What are your disabled facilities?
Lift, hoist, ramps, disabled toilet, disable shower with shower chair and shower bed. We have accessible information sheets, low-tech communication aids and visual timetables.

What are your opening days and hours?
We can tailor around your needs - we are only restricted by the sunlight.
