Why you are you a great place for educational visits?
Our award winning Treehouse Classrooms are unique, and a perfect focus for working in the woods, or pond dipping or a stream study. Equally, the farm lets children get up close and personal with a wide range of friendly animals, and we can demonstrate growing techniques in our garden. Have a look at our website www.cet.org.uk - we can tailor make your visit.

Do you have the LOtC Quality Badge or any other accreditation such as AALA?
We are LOtC accredited.

What does a typical educational visit include?
We can create a visit to suit your needs, whether you are bringing preschoolers right up to A level students, so talk to our education officers on 01590612401 or mail@cet.org.uk

What group sizes do you cater for?
Group sizes are flexible, dependent on the activities.

Do you provide projects, teacher’s packs, work sheets or any useful information?
We use work sheets where appropriate, but mainly want children to engage with the environment in which they find themselves.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?
Absolutely! And we love it when people send us photos of their visit.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
Risk assessments are available on our website, www.cet.org.uk

Does your venue have an education officer?
A dedicated education officer will run your visit, working with school staff. We hope group leaders will come on a pre-visit to work out the details, but otherwise we will liaise by email or phone.

What is the cost of the visit?
Day visits cost £7.50, unless they form part of a course, in which case we create a bespoke package.

Is specific clothing required for the trip?
Wellington boots and waterproof outerwear is required. If children are on the farm, we can supply overalls.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
We have qualified first aiders.

Please list facilities available.
Depending on the visit, there may be the opportunity to visit a gift shop. There is definitely an opportunity to have a picnic lunch on any of our visits.

What are your opening days and hours?
Our office hours are 9-5. If we are out and about on the farm, please email us at mail@cet.org.uk

Do you have any testimonials from previous schools we can include?
‘The Treehouse was absolutely amazing! I learnt about a million facts.’ (Alice)
‘ The day at the river was really exciting, especially the experiments’ (Louis)

Is there anything else that you feel is important and want to include in your information?
We can accommodate all ages and all curriculum needs, so do contact us and we will work with you to deliver a great day.
