James Boffin is a childrens science entertainer bringing an enthusiasm for science to children everywhere – mostly in Schools, but also at parties, in clubs, at corporate events and science festivals - anywhere that you want children to be entertained, educated and amused with some WOW science.

Secret Science Agent UU7 will share some exciting experiments. Like the ones he used on his last mission for Chief Science Agent H. The mission was to rescue Skwiddee, a rocket genius, who was the prisoner of the villainous Doctor Puss.

Let UU7 perform his story of how he rescued Skwiddee and share all the amazing science he had to use on the mission. He always needs to ask for help from the children to do the experiments.

Plenty of mixed WOW experiments like:

A nitrocellulose explosion
Science versus magic with everyone shouting out
Model jet car for Newton's 3rd law of motion
Butterflies and a very special science middle
Showing how scientists keep trying, using a helicopter kit
Bernoulli's principle and how aeroplanes stay up
A dangerous chemical experiment using Kl and 30% H2O2
A sticky fizzy mysterious science eruption
A slightly scary experiment to try at home later
A really cute new electricity gadget that everyone loves

And then group Workshops with hands-on science for everyone, like:

Making goo slime with Polly Murs, then taking it home to experiment
Touchy-feely, but safe, electricity with Tesla plasma - shocking though!
Flying lessons for kids, and making their own science working-model hovercraft
Extra WOW-factor with dry ice - four times colder than your freezer
Rocketry with Skwiddee + rocket launch up to a quarter of a mile high and many more
All completed with a huge fun finale which is to be kept secret until it's time!

And all presented to suit the age and understanding of the children. You, the children, and any grown-ups around, will be entertained, educated, and amused, all at the same time.

Like we say at Science Headquarters - "Isn't science fun?"

Please summarize why you are great to support learning.
Many Schools invite James Boffin in because they want their children to be more enthusiastic about science. And that’s what UU7 does best. His passion for what he does and his ability to strip the science back to language to suit the age and understanding of his audience brings science easily within the grasp of the children. In a huge fun way.

James Boffin is a Secret Science Agent. Codename UU7.

He is a character whose performances engage and excite children with science using elements of entertainment, education, and amusement so that they grasp and remember scientific principles.

His portrayal, styling and presentation are a 'James Bond 007' pastiche.

They are formatted as a mission storyline where, as a Secret Science Agent, he has to use lots of science to complete this mission successfully. He shows the children this science using experiments, all explained in words to suit the age and understanding of the audience.

"Who wants to be a scientist when they grow up?" he asks afterwards.

A show of over 80% of hands is the norm.

Mission accomplished!

What does a typical school workshop visit include?
School visits can be for a single Workshops session, a single Assembly presentation, a half-day, a full day, or multiple days.

There is one well-tried structure for a successful Science Day, but you can customise your Day in any way you want to - UU7 can make it work.

The recommended way is to start with a whole School assembly of up to an hour, followed by individual Workshops to Class or Year groups.

This is a science show designed to engage and excite the children and get them receptive and eager for what else is to come.

While you can specify experiments you want to cover, UU7’s signature Assembly presentation is very popular.

His mission assignment is to rescue Skwiddee from the villainous Dr Puss and he tells the story of how he did this and all the science he had to use to mount the rescue.

Showing experiments like . . .
Nitrocellulose flashbomb paper
Investigating a science versus magic illusion, with everyone joining in
Air pressure, space suits, and a jam jar water test
Secret Science Agent model jet car for Newton's 3rd Law of Motion
Butterflies, and a very special science middle
How scientists keep trying, using a simple science model helicopter kit
Bernoulli's principle and how aeroplanes stay up, easily understood using a toilet roll
A dangerous chemical experiment with potassium iodide and 35% hydrogen peroxide
A slightly scary experiment that everyone can try at home later

You can have workshops custom-designed on a science subject of your choice, or you can choose from a selection of ready-made topics.

Workshop session times are usually between a quick-fire 20 minutes and a more hands-on 60 minutes. Around 40 minutes is quite the norm, but it all depends on the time available, the number of children involved and how many days your budget will allow for, and what you want to achieve.

Science HQ is happy to co-operate with you in drawing up an effective timetable.

Here are some ready-made Workshop topics, starting with the most popular . . .

Electricity With Tesla Plasma And A Light Wand

States Of Matter Using Dry Ice (WOW!)

Polymers And Fluorescent Green Goo Slime

Rocket Science Is Easy!

Flying Lessons For Kids!

Disease And The Spread Of Disease

Transport Of Delight

Earth Sciences Rock!

Muck, Mess And Mixtures
