Exactly what does your venue offer to educational visits?

Specialist workshops for Key Stage 1 and 2
Young learners embarking on Key Stage 1 and 2 are eager to discover more about the world around them. So at Crealy we work with educators to create curriculum-based workshops, including bespoke programmes to meet special needs. Our blend of education and fun brings learning to life, feeding young minds and inspiring them to find out more. Workshops are 45 minutes long and our Education Centre can cater for groups of up to 45 pupils at any one time. We have three great workshops to choose from, find out more about them below;

Mini Beast Detectives
Your help is needed at Crealy during an educational day out at Crealy! A new mini-beast is arriving at the Park and staff at the Animal Kingdom need help to design its habitat.Your class will spend the workshop examining, handling and studying native and exotic mini beasts. Each pupil will explore a range of mini-beasts and investigate how they adapt to their surroundings. Using their knowledge, the children will advise the Animal Kingdom staff on the type of habitat the new mini-beast will need.

Fairground Design
An inspiring challenge has been set for your class to create a brand new ride for Crealy Adventure Park & Resort. Kick-start an exciting Design & Technology project for your class with this educational and exciting venture. Children will explore the rides at Crealy making observations on the rides in the park, interviewing ride operators and assessing the popularity of different rides. During the workshop children will begin to understand the mechanisms needed to power the rides and also the design and themes that make them appealing to visitors.

Fairground Forces
Have you ever wondered how rollercoasters work? Learn about forces, mechanisms, and everything else that make rollercoaster so fast and thrilling! Children will explore the rides at Crealy making observations on the rides in the park, interviewing ride operators and assessing the popularity of different rides. During the workshop children will begin to understand the mechanisms needed to power the rides and learn about how they work.

What does a typical educational visit include?
During your school visit you will be provided with clipboards, worksheets and suggested itinerary in readiness for your Fairground mayhem workshop. The workshop will start with an engaging talk from the rides and attraction experts at Crealy. They will provide the class with details about the rides at Crealy and the types of guests they attract. The class will also be given an overview of how to behave towards the other visitors in the park while they explore the different rides.
