As part of this study children will learn about the history of chocolate. Where chocolate originated from and the origin of the chocolate bean. Then the process is discussed from the chocolate starting off as a bean and then the journey then to the chocolate bar.

This covers, subjects such as Geography – (country where originated from) Also, the history of chocolate dating back to the early years. Some aspects of Science are involved in the ingredients, food and nutrition and how the chocolate is made .

What a fantastic morning! The workshop was very well organised and ran smoothly from start to finish. All the girls were completely enthused and engaged, loving the 'hands-on' approach to learning. They discovered more about where chocolate comes from and enjoyed trying out different techniques such as piping to make their own delicious chocolates. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this workshop. Thank you again for your hard work Louise.

Louise from Chocolate Collective provided an absolutely fabulous chocolate workshop for my year 1 class at Broadbent Fold Primary School. The children were inspired, thoroughly enjoyed themselves and got very messy making chocolate lollipops, writing their names with chocolate and making chocolate sweets all morning. A 'must have' event if you're learning about chocolate like we were. Thank you so much to Louise and we will definitely be asking her back next year. Mrs Naomi Cowling (Year 1 Teacher, Broadbent Fold Primary School)
