Description

Based in Riseley, Reading, we are a short 10 minute drive from both the M3 and the M4.

We encourage learning through introduction and discovery, with woodlands to explore for minibeasts, farm animals to encounter, a lake for finding aquatic creatures and play equipment to enjoy.

You will have an exhilarating and enjoyable trip away from the classroom. We also have hand washing and toilet facilities close to all the activity areas.

Set in 350 acres of beautiful country side Wellington Country Park is passionate about encouraging children to learn through fun and imagination, either on a school trip out or a visit with their families.

We pride ourselves on being the biggest outdoor play in Berkshire with adventure play trails to explore, the Jumping Pillow (height restrictions apply), Nature Walks through our woodlands to see our heard of Red and Fallow Deer, the Splash Zone, 36 Dinosaurs to discover, Adventure play grounds, sandpits, the Animal Farm and much much more...

Pre and post activities for each workshop are available

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?
We are more than happy for children to take photographs during their visit.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
Teachers are offered a free visit to the Park to meet a member of our Team and to complete their own site risk assessment.

Wellington Country Park also supply, Park and workshop risk assesments.

Package: Explorer / Price per Pupil: £6.85

Package: Detective / Price per Pupil:£7.85

Details: Explorer Package + An Educational Workshop

Teachers and helpers go FREE – ratio 1:5. If additional adults are required for your group please speak to a member of our team.

Is specific clothing required for the trip?

As an outdoor attraction, we advise visitors to dress appropriately for the weather.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
First Aid can be found in the Main Reception Building.

Main Reception Café – Offering a selection of hot and cold meals, drinks and light snacks.

Here at the Park, we are able to store your packed lunches while you are enjoying the Park. If the weather is good we encourage eating outdoors. In poor weather under cover space is available in marquees around the Park.

Gift Shop – Our gift shop has a selection of pocket money toys and gifts.

For schools and groups, why not purchase a Wellington Souvenir Bag for £1.00 which contains a Wellington Country Park pencil and rubber.

Ice Creams (mini milk) are also available to pre-order (for allergy information please ask).

What are your disabled facilities?
Wellington Country Park has unisex disabled toilets in the Main Reception Building and in the centre toilet block.

All of the main paths in the Park are wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Please note that nature trails are not suitable for wheelchairs as they are typical woodland paths.

What are your opening days and hours?
Wellington Country Park is open from 9:30am – 4:30pm (Low Season) and 9:30am – 5:00pm (High Season).
