Description

The Animal Roadshow’s unique service consists of exciting, hands-on educational sessions (presentations and workshops) involving a wide variety of living specimens of different species, all of which are friendly, tame, handleable and entirely trustworthy. We have available to us numerous animals of many species, and this allows us to offer a wide range of subjects, topics and themes. All sessions are delivered by a qualified, professional educator and zoologist who has full DBS clearance.

Why you are great to support learning.
All sessions are delivered by a highly experienced and qualified educator and zoologist.

All sessions are designed to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and are very much hands-on and educational, while still being great fun and very exciting. The educational content of every session is sound and accurate, and is always at the correct level for the audience. Teachers will receive planning notes, worksheets, risk assessments, and all other relevant information prior to our visit.

All our presentations/workshops feature a range of live animals, are supported by a professional quality PowerPoint presentation, and are designed for the level of students in each class. Worksheets to support the visit are also included.

What does a typical school workshop visit include?
All our presentations/workshops feature a range of live animals, are supported by a professional quality PowerPoint presentation, and are designed for the level of students in each class. Worksheets to support the visit are also included.

In addition to our standard sessions, The Animal Roadshow offers a bespoke service, and presentations and workshops can be tailor-made to suit specific subjects/projects, units from the National Curriculum, or simply to show particular animals – it’s your choice! Please contact James McKay for further information, and to discuss your requirements.

Do you provide projects, teacher’s packs, work sheets or any other useful information?
Teachers will receive planning notes, worksheets, risk assessments, and all other relevant information prior to our visit.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio if appropriate?
There are NO restrictions on photography/videos etc.

Are your team CRB checked for attending schools/colleges etc?
