Why you are you a great place for educational visits?

Bouldering is a great activity that works the whole body and mind. It doesn’t matter on your size, age or ability; bouldering is accessible for all. It’s great as a team activity and especially good for those who may not enjoy conventional sports such as football or rugby.

What does a typical educational visit include?

Sessions typically last one hour, though we can do longer on request. Children and novices always have to be supervised by our instructors so all of our sessions are ran by our staff, sometimes with support from teachers, depending on the group and session type. The focus is usually on having a good time, though several educational outcomes can be achieved using climbing as a basis. Maths works particularly well

What group sizes do you cater for?

We can cater from small groups of only a few people, up to around a hundred at any one time

Do you provide projects, teacher’s packs, work sheets or any useful information?

We can incorporate any lesson plan you have into our sessions. Additionally we have a full set of Maths lesson plans targeting specific learning outcomes from the national curriculum. These are designed in conjunction with a local head teacher. However, if there is something more specific you would like to cover then please get in touch

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?

We are more than happy for children/teachers/parents/guardians to take any photographic footage they like, as long as the organising party has arranged for parent/guardian consent of the subjects.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

We can arrange bookings either over the phone or e-mail. All safety documents including Risk Assessments & public liability insurance can be sent in advance on request.

What is the cost of the visit?

The costing depends on the time & type of session you would like.

Is specific clothing required for the trip?

No special clothing is required, just normal clothing that allows for easy movement and closed toed shoes.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

All instructors are first aid trained
