Why you are you a great place for educational visits?

Set in Devon’s most beautiful countryside Woodlands has a variety of family rides, attractions and indoor play centers completely hidden from view in a woodland valley plus a wide variety of school talks.

Designed by the Bendall family there are extensive play zones throughout the Park, each having a selection of rides and attractions enabling all the family to play together or enjoy play equipment designed to the guest’s abilities.

The massive indoor playcentres at Woodlands are essential for guests to enjoy the highest standard of venture equipment, soft play and rides whatever the weather.

The large Falconry Centre has a wide selection of birds of prey which provide excellent displays. Animals of all sorts and sizes are available in the large Zoo Farm. Our highly knowledgeable Zoo Farm keepers and falconers are always on hand to answer any questions you may have.

What does a typical educational visit include?

School groups are self-lead to allow groups to enjoy everything Woodlands has to offer. We work with the school to organize the school talks around your needs and can alter the duration of the talks and add or remove any information you might want in the school talk.

We also provide Falconry talks where students are able to ask any burning questions they might have about these majestic creatures.

What group sizes do you cater for?

Woodlands Family Theme Park caters for up to 35 students per talk but can provide more than one talk per school. Free parking for coaches & cars.

Do you provide projects, teacher’s packs, work sheets or any useful information?

We provide every student with a school pack which has a various amount information relevant to them and their subject chosen.

Teachers also receive a teacher pack that features more information that will help guide students after their visit has ended at Woodlands Family Theme Park plus contact information if anything else is needed after the trip has ended.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?

We are happy for children to get involved and take photos, video or audio.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

We work closely with teachers to provide them with all the information needed to ensure they have a safe and fun visit at Woodlands.

We can provide risk assessments plus free entry for the teacher to come in and see the park and facilities prior to making the final decision.

No specific clothing requirements.

•             Socks must be warn in play areas.

•             Cover up on slides, bare skin/clothing may burn.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

We have highly trained first aid staff on site to assist with any issues that may arise plus a first aid point opposite our reception.

*Please note, Woodlands is situated in a valley. Some of the paths are on steep slopes. Wheelchair users will need a strong pusher plus some electric wheelchairs may not cope with the incline.
