Wolf Mountain Indoor Climbing Centre provides a variety of adventurous activities. This unique, well designed facility caters for everyone from the dedicated outdoor enthusiast to the thrill seeking novice. Situated in an urban location, but also on the doorstep of some beautiful countryside we are able to offer many exciting and challenging activity experiences for individuals, families, schools, groups and businesses.

Exactly what does your venue offer to educational visits?

Our multi activity days are extremely popular. We can cater for up to 60 persons and offer a number of fun, exciting and rewarding activities both indoors and outdoors. Furthermore, we have a wealth of experience in delivering GCSE indoor climbing as part of the PE syllabus.

Why you are you a great place for educational visits?

Wolf Mountain is a fantastic venue for educational visits. It boasts an extensive range of varied and challenging climbing walls and houses one of the largest indoor caving systems in the UK. In addition to this, bouldering, mountain biking, archery and team building activities are available to schools and colleges looking to reward, or educate their pupils and students in specific aspects of adventurous activities.

What does a typical educational visit include?

We can tailor each visit to the needs of the group. The staff team is experienced in working with individuals who have special needs, those with challenging behavior, GCSE pupils, BTEC Public Services students and larger groups who wish to take part in multi activity fun days. The location and design of our facility allows us to provide a number of indoor and outdoor activity learning options. There is also ample free parking that can accommodate coaches if required.

What group sizes do you cater for?

The centre is large enough to cater for groups of up to 60 comfortably.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?

We are more than happy for children to take photos, video and audio.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

If you wish to book, please email us on info@wolfmountain.co.uk stating what your requirements are. We will email you a booking form and the relevant risk assessments. When we receive the completed booking form we will confirm your booking.

Does your venue have an education officer?

The management team is familiar with planning and delivering educational visits. All enquiries will be dealt with by a designated person.

What is the cost of the visit?

Costs vary and are dependent on numbers and the duration of your visit. All supervising staff will be free of charge.  For more information please contact the Centre on 01902 711186. We will happily give you a quote.  

Is specific clothing required for the trip?

It is advisable to wear training shoes and non restrictive clothing. Please note, skirts should not really be worn for obvious reasons.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider? All our instructors and first aid trained

All staff members are first aid qualified and there are first aid kits located at various points throughout the Centre.

Please list facilities available

There is a café and seating area that overlooks the climbing walls.  Refreshments and hot or cold food are available for purchase during centre opening hours. Alternatively groups can bring pre packed lunches that can be consumed in the café area.

What are your disabled facilities?

We have disabled toilet facilities and the climbing walls can be accessed by wheelchair users. However, please note that our café’ is on the first floor and we do not have a lift.

What are your opening days and hours?

Our opening hours are 3:00pm – 10:00pm Monday – Thursday 3:00pm – 9:00pm Friday

10:00 - 6:00pm Saturday/ Sunday. During the school holidays we open at 12:00 noon on weekdays. Please note that we also open earlier for school bookings allowing exclusive use of the centre.
