Description

We are approximately 40 miles from central London, situated in the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. As an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and designated Site of Special Scientific Interest we have a rich diversity of natural life rite on our door step!

We are 20 minutes away from a main line train station from London.

What group sizes do you cater for?

We can cater for up to 200 people in a single booking.  We regularly have groups of this size visit for either a day or a whole week. The site can comfortably camp close to 1000 people.

Please give information regarding room sizes and room facilities?

All our bed rooms are bunk rooms sleeping either 2, 4, or 6 per room. Our buildings can sleep either 18, 25 or 38 people. They all have a full size kitchen and shower/ toilet facilities either contained in the building or a short walk away.

What is the cost of the accommodation?

Our packages vary in cost depending on the length of stay and activities chosen. A typical class of 30 could expect to pay as little as £2,500+VAT for a building and 4 days of fully delivered activity.  

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

Risk assessment are available to have on request, they are also available on our website.

We conduct checks on all necessary equipment and facilitates in line with current legislation. - This includes water, fire and vehicles.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

All staff are first aid trained, however groups are responsible for the first aid welfare needs of their members.

Please list facilities available.

We have an onsite tuck shop, selling souvenirs and confectionary. Indoor hall available for lunch and lots of picnic benches outside. All residential buildings have a hall for class room work and dining. Wi-fi is available in two of the accommodation buildings as well as in the meeting room.

What are your disabled facilities?

We have disabled toilet and shower facilities, however our bed room are not suitable to all additional needs. A visit would be encouraged by all group leaders to view the lay out and style of the buildings.

What are your opening days and hours?

The site never closes apart for at Christmas, however the office is open every day 9-5

All building are self-catered, bedding is not provided. There are basic laundry facilities available.
