Exactly what does your venue offer to educational visits?

We offer an extremely fun way of teaching logic and puzzle solving. Our live escape games are exciting and totally interactive. We lock you in a themed room where you have to use your skills in order to find codes to escape. You have 60 minutes on the clock so time keeping is important. Practical skills, puzzle solving, maths, teamwork, team building, social skills and head scratching are all involved in playing our games. If more than one group from the same place comes they can compete to see who gets out in the quickest time. It’s not just the taking part that counts!

Why you are you a great place for educational visits?

Getting locked up in a room with a group of friends is fun and exhilarating and better than sitting behind a computer screen on your own. People who experience our rooms will talk about their experience with a huge buzz after they have played. We have customers from schools, clubs, societies, corporate venues…you name it we have locked them up because it’s a great educational and social event. As the children will not be in a classroom situation it helps them to think outside of the box.

What does a typical educational visit include?

We currently have 2 games in Plymouth but will opening a 3rd very soon. We have Holborn Street Theatre Tragedy which involves solving a murder and very much needs maths and logic skills. Similarly our Holborn Cemetery relies on mathematics and problem solving and maybe a religious link. Children 10 and over can enjoy our games although younger children could be helped with adult assistance. The 3rd room will be about communications so will also have a historical element.

What group sizes do you cater for?

Groups of 8 can fit in our current 2 rooms and the 3rd will also be 8 so technically we can accommodate 24 at the same time.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?

No. In order to keep the game a mystery absolutely no images can be taken in the rooms and mobile phones are banned. We take a photo after the game beside our logo which is used for social media and can be sent onto the group afterwards by email or WhatsApp.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

We do not provide risk assessments. Most people are happy with public liability insurance. However if risk assessment was crucial then we would need to know the requirements in order to set something out. If a teacher needed to visit the site beforehand that can also be accommodated.

What is the cost of the visit?

Our lowest cost per person is £11 and we can keep it at that for groups of 8 or more. If the group sizes are smaller we can negotiate on price or offer a 10% discount. If the same institute sent us hundreds of bookings we could look at reducing the cost per person further. Supervising teacher would not need to pay but only one per room.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

A first aid kit will be available for any minor cuts or scrapes.

Please list facilities available.

No. We have toilet facilities but the aim of the game is to be in and out in 60 minutes. No food is allowed in the rooms except bottled water. We do not sell anything on site.

What are your disabled facilities?

There are stairs involved and no lift. The 3rd room will be downstairs with no stairs involved but will have normal sized doors. So extra large wheelchairs wouldn’t gain access but a normal one would.

What are your opening days and hours?

7 days a week from 10.30am to 8.30pm

Is there anything else that you feel is important and want to include in your information?

We have parking for 2 vehicles.
