The Hall is an AALA licensed activity and residential learning centre available for hire by all groups. We are based at the Southern end of Lake Ullswater within easy reach of population centres in both the North West and North East of England, and we have also welcomed clients from throughout the rest of the UK and overseas. We offer a fully catered service for up to 70 clients, although are willing to talk to any group no matter how small, and will tailor-make an activity programme should you require it. All our activities take place on the doorstep of the centre with no need to travel in minibuses and waste valuable time. We are ideally located with natural crags and a 7 mile long lake all within easy reach on foot from the centre. Our 80 acres of extensive grounds allow access straight onto the Lakeland fells for walking, mountaineering and so much more. We have an adventurous gorge that flows through the grounds of the estate.

Fantastic food, stunning location and incredible facilities. I couldn’t fault the staff. They all have [been] perfect with our young people, visiting staff and most importantly each other! Don’t change a thing, we will miss this place and I’d love to come back.

Thankyou everyone at Patterdale for an amazing jam-packed week. The kids really enjoyed canoeing and cliff jumping with a considerate, understanding and patient instructor. Food was fantastic just what young people needed after a long expedition. I’d love to come back. The kids would love to come back.

Thank you. Ben
