What group sizes do you cater for?

Around 120

Please give information regarding room sizes and room facilities?

Dormitory single rooms with own sink, desk and wardrobe; shared toilets and showers.  One bed per room but rooms can be twinned.

What is the cost of the accommodation?

Single rooms with shared facilities @£20.00 per night; twinned rooms with shared facilities @£30.00 per night.  We do have other accommodation like Ensuites, apartments.  No Peak rates at present.

Yes, Regular drills, fire instructions on every bedroom door, fire alarm maintenance, emergency lighting, detectors all comply with Health & Safety regulations.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

First aiders are across the site so not necessary to bring one.

We have a Restaurant; a Pantry (Takeaway Food & Snacks). We can provide everything from packed lunches to fine dining.  We have several conference spaces that have occupancy from 6 to 300 people.  We have a number of indoor social areas and that serve food, such as our Bistro and The Courtyard and The Pavillion. All of which are also suitable for teaching.

We also offer outdoor picnic areas, a Great Hall that can be used for Sports, Theatre performances or Disco’s as well as Indoor Cinema.

What are your disabled facilities?

We have accommodation that is accessible for all disabilities with wet rooms, kitchen areas at wheelchair heights, etc.  These do not have emergency buttons as support workers normally accompany. 

What are your opening days and hours?

7 Days a week, 24 hours a day.

Do you have any testimonials from previous customers who have visited you on an educational visit that we can include in your section?

Yes we have After8, Active8, Coombeshead Community College, Ascot Heath Church of England School, Plymouth Excellence Cluster.

Is there anything else that you feel is important and want to include in your information.

location near to day out v Hannahs is a unique location for Educational covering all Key Stages, curriculum topics including P Scales for Students with SEN needs.

Geography, History, Art and Design, Geography, History, Music, PE Programme to name a few subjects.  We would be willing to advise any groups visiting of the best places to visit covering the subject needed, 185 millions years of Earth History, Ancient Human habitation, Stone Age settlements, Pilgrim Fathers, Elizabethan Houses all attractions within 30 minutes to 1 ½ Driving.

Off Site

Dartmoor National Park. 

We are within 10 mins drive to this Outstanding National Park. Early Bronze Age settlements – geological places of interest to visit, Dartmoor Prison, built during the Napoleonic Wars and Heritage Centre,  Trekking across the Moor with fantastic scenery – stout footwear and weatherproof clothing highly recommended.

City of Plymouth and Barbican.

Original Elizabethen House, Merchants House, Aquarium, Plymouth University, Mayflower Steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set Sail. Plymouth Barbican still retains a lot of original buildings and architecture.

Boats Trips to Devonport Dockyard - one of the Oldest Naval Docks in Europe, incorporating original and modern architecture.

Royal William Yard   Naval Victualling Yard c1826.  Home of many fine resturants and Art Exhibition/workshops.  Beautiful Plymouth Hoe waterfront walks.

Plymouth Citidal.  Sea defences built in 1760’s – Open to the Public by Appointment.

RAF Mountbatten  - Peir -  Home of the RAF Flying Boats.  Lawrence of Arabia was one of the test pilots and was stationed at Plymouth during WW1.

Jurassic Coastline starts within an hours drive of Hannahs – 185 million years of Earth History and a fantastic beach to sit and relax as well - Why not order a picnic from our Bistro, take your towel and swimming gear and have the best of both world – education and fun.

Kents Cavern  Prehistoric Caves –Ancient Human Habitation. A wonder of Stalagmites and Stalactites and light displays#

Paington Zoological Park. An amasing place to spend the day.

Living Coast Zoo and Aquarium  Educational all weather attraction.

BEACHES & Coastal Walks.

Devon is very lucky and has beaches within a short driving distance for your enjoyment, from glorious sandy beaches to Surfing.  We would be more than happy to help you chose an appropriate destination for your planned activity

South Devon Steam Railway, Buckfastleigh.  Enjoy a leisurely journey through some of Devon’s most spectacular countryside in a spectacular Steam Train.
