Description

Set in a stunning location, a leisurely ten minute walk from Cogra Moss, at the foot for the Lake District Mountains, Felldyke bunkhouse is convenient for the C-2-C cycle route, the Ennerdale, and Buttermere valleys and is ideally located to explore some of the quieter areas of the Lake District and Cumbria’s West Coast.

Converted from a derelict Pumphouse into a comfortable and practical group accommodation, it has taken input from many other group accommodations to try and achieve a balance between practicality and comfort. Set up to cater for groups of up to 23 clients, including a downstairs disabled access room / leaders room, with adjacent shower room, Felldyke is ideal for schools, universities, clubs, large family groups and groups of friends.

The Bunkhouse includes an external grassed area, BBQ and a fire pit.   Activity provision and qualified guiding can be sourced from Local providers.

Quotes from Trip Advisor:

"The location is good for walking, activities (we did ghyll scrambling and rock climbing through a company the owners recommended) and probably group activities with an educational element as there is a large open downstairs area."

"The bunkhouse is far from basic offering good standard of lodging amidst a beautiful locale."

"Having looked far and wide for good quality accommodation in the lakes ............... this is by far the best place I found, and I would certainly recommend it for group accommodation"

"The number of beds was ideal, the kitchen facilities were fantastic and it was great to all be able to sit down together to eat every meal. The lounge area was an added bonus that was brilliant for chilling out after our cold and wet training sessions.  The bathroom facilities unlike similar establishments were great."

"This great bunkhouse is a real gem as a base for hill walking. It sleeps 23, really well equipped compared to some of the other basic camping barns in the Lakes, with dishwashers, good showers, drying cupboard and comfy bunkbeds"
