The Penwith peninsula has a number of stunning gardens in the local area and the famous St Michael’s Mount is a 5 minute drive away.

The Scillonian link to the stunning Isles of Scilly leaves from Penzance harbour, only a 10 minute walk from Bolitho House.  There is also Lands End Airport, nearby offering flights to the Isles of Scilly.

A short drive or train journey will take you to the stunning seaside town of St Ives, where you can enjoy the large expanses of white sands and blue sea, visit the shops or take in some culture at the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Garden and Gallery.  The St Ives School of Painting also offer classes, seminars and talks.

Marazion Marshes offer fantastic bird watching and run talks for school groups.

The Minnack Theatre is a short drive away.  Great for outdoor theatre or to take in the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and, if you keep your eyes open you may see the dolphins.  You can also visit the Telegraph Museum.

The Penwith coastal setting provides easy access to some of the most beautiful beaches in Britain, some within walking distance, others requiring a little more effort to get to, but truly worth it.
