Exactly what does your venue offer to educational visits?

Outdoor education should be about learning how life works outside a classroom environment. Experiencing all the highs and lows; learning to deal with adversity and challenges, overcoming obstacles but in a safe and supportive environment.

We know that whilst your pupils are focusing on the excitement of adventure, you will be looking at what they will learn and take away from their visit. The activities we provide develop self-esteem, peer support and confidence that pupils will take back to the classroom, their everyday lives and their future.

We provide educationally-rich activity centre breaks for schools and are experts in out-of-the-classroom learning. Our unique and personalised days and residential trips are guaranteed to inspire and motivate children, instilling a lifelong love of adventure.

The centre is surrounded by scenic hills and woodlands and is one of Wales’ finest education and adventure centres and is AALA approved meeting schools’ learning and risk management needs, no matter what activities are provided.

Ynys Hywel operates all year round and offers a wide range of packages. But no matter what, every pupil is guaranteed to have fun, learn essential communication and team building skills whilst also having a go at something new.

Our dining area is one of the most popular areas and features a huge wooden table where pupils can all eat together. In the colder months, we also throw some logs on the burner so it gets extra cosy and warm.
