Raygill is a group accommodation which can sleep up to 20.  Set in beautiful Teesdale, minutes from the historic town of Barnard Castle on the river Tees.  We cater for large self catering groups.

What is the cost of the accommodation?

Prices are on a sliding scale, the larger the group and longer the stay the greater the discount.  From £11 pppn - £16pppn.

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

We can provide copies of our standard risk assessments & any paperwork required to do with fire equipment and alarm tests.  Individual checks/visits can be arranged with owner

Onsite facilities areas for eating – Dinning room – Garden with picnic benches – Private estate for exploring and picnics, ideal for courses and games.  No meals provided fully fitted kitchen included, private catering can be arranged.

Barnard castle has a community project called the Hub, this facility has a range of activities and courses directed at the young and schools.  Please arrange with owner.

The cottage has;1 En-suite family room, sleeps 3 with a double & single,1 Twin room 1 Bunk room sleeps 4, 1 loft room room sleeps 9 & 3 spare camp beds.  The cottage has a fully fitted modern kitchen with attached large dining room, spacious living room with pool table, laundry/drying room secure outdoor equipment storage ie. mountain bikes, canoes etc. We also offer stables for short term livery for DIY horse riding holidays.The cottage is an 17th century conversion attached to the family home of Raygill farm, with separate large guest garden set in 100's of acres of beautiful scenery surrounded by open countryside & woodland in the heart of Teesdale.    The family has farmed at Raygill for 5 generations and still is a working farm. The cottage is ideal for large groups on holiday or to take part in many local activities utilising the unique position of Raygill to Cycle & walking routes, bridleways, canoeing (High Force)/river Tees, sailing, fishing, shooting and much more.Raygill is on the border of County Durham and North Yorkshire, in Teesdale near the historic town of Barnard Castle on the river Tees.  The beautiful rolling hills of the Yorkshire dales with sights such as High force waterfall on the river Tees set this up to be one of the most stunning locations in England.

Barnard Castle Near Richmond is a Norman Castle set on the banks of the River Tees, the town has built around the castle over the years and still keeps its original authentic look.  Shopping in the town has really changed over the years going from a farming market town to what is more becoming a boutique experience.  One of the best kept secrets is the ever increasing places of high quality places to eat supported by fantastic local produce.  Local produce is sold throughout the town and displayed at markets on selected weekends.  Many attractions and activities can be found here to make a stay very memorable such as; cycling, canoeing, walking, climbing, off-roading, sailing, shooting & fishing all set in stunning landscape abundant in natural flora and fauna.

Raygill has over 100 acres of beautiful Teesdale Countryside ideal for large groups and there are large buildings that can accommodate activities indoor with prior arrangement.
