Situated just off the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road at Tredegar, Parc Bryn Bach provides a range of leisure and adventure activities including and outdoor education. The nearest train station is Rhymney, which is 3 miles away. The nearest bus stop is at the Crown Inn which is 0.5 miles away, this stop is served by the X4 Cardiff to Abergavenny bus.

What group sizes do you cater for?

We cater for class size groups of up to 36 pupils. We can however cater for bigger groups if this pre planned depending on the activities chosen.

Please give information regarding room sizes and room facilities?

We have a 40 pitch caravan and campsite set within 340 acres of idyllic parkland, which is located on the lakeside, ensuring stunning views of the tranquil countryside setting and its resident wildlife.

The site is graded 3 Star by the Wales Tourist Board and is just a few metres away from the park’s Visitor Centre which is open from 8.30am to 7pm during the summer.  Located within the centre is a licensed bar and restaurant, serving an assortment of hot and cold meals, with a comprehensive children’s menu, a souvenir shop and tourist information kiosk.

The site is equipped with 30 electric hook-up points for caravans and motor homes and a tent campsite with 20 non electric pitches.  There are also showers, laundry facilities (washing machine, tumble dryer & iron), toilets, shaving points, chemical disposal point and a water point

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?

If teachers wish to come on site to carry out pre trip risk assessments then these must be arranged with the Park Manager.

Do you provide risk assessments for the teachers?

We have a comprehensive NOP document which we send out to schools which includes all our procedures, but teaching staff are welcome to visit our facility at any time to carry out risk assessments.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?

All our activities are run by qualified instructors who hold the relevant First Aid Qualification.

If you are visiting the site and not taking part in activities then we have qualified first aiders on site.

The facility complies with DDA regulations for access and parking, we also have disabled toilets and a family shower room.

We are open from 8.30am – 9.00pm during the summer months.
