Why you are you a great place for educational visits?
With 26 years’ experience and more than 2,000 school groups attending each year, Cadbury World offers a unique experience that gives fascinating insight into the rich heritage of the nation's favourite chocolate brand.
We offer 18 different educational talks suitable from key stage 1 up to key stage 5 including the history of chocolate, Design and Technology, Ancient Mayan Civilizations, Marketing, Science, ICT and Geography. We also offer students the chance to gain an insight into the design process of Cadbury chocolate bars with our NEW Design & Technology workshop.

Do you have the LOtC Quality Badge or any other accreditation such as AALA?
In early 2009, Cadbury World confirmed its’ reputation as one of the best educational visits in the U.K. by being accredited with the ‘Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

What does a typical educational visit include?
Your visit will take around 4.5 hours. This includes an educational talk or workshop (optional), entrance into Cadbury World, our fantastic 4D cinema show and the fascinating Bournville Experience Museum. In addition to this, we also have the World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop where there are treats suitable for all budgets!

Additional educational talks have been specifically designed for key stages 1-5, so you can mix and match topics or cover specific points.

What group sizes do you cater for?
Cadbury World can accommodate thousands of visitors each day. Groups are a minimum of 15 paying people and larger groups may need to be split for your enjoyment whilst on the tour. Talks are available for groups of any size.

Do you provide projects, teacher’s packs, work sheets or any useful information?
Download our free online workbooks and resources here:, including factsheets on Cadbury and Bournville, and BTEC and GCSE workbooks. For teachers we also offer free preview visits.

Are you happy for children to take photos, video or audio?
Photography and videoing is permitted throughout Cadbury World with the exception of the ‘Packaging Plant.’

What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
Cadbury World offers free teacher preview visits for 1 teacher and 1 guest. These are available on any day we are open and offers the teacher the opportunity to carry out their own risk assessment. Teacher preview visits must be pre-booked with our booking office on 0844 880 7667.

What is the cost of the visit?
£8.15 per pupil (up to the age of 17 and inclusive).
£9.65 per pupil to include a talk
£10.70 per adult - one free adult admission for every 8 paying school children

Is specific clothing required for the trip?
The wearing of school uniform or casual clothes is at the discretion of the school.

Do you have first aid on site or will the group need to bring a qualified first aider?
All security personnel and 1 in 4 front of house staff are trained first aiders. We also have a First Aid Room located in reception.

We have two gifts shops, a restaurant, disabled toilets, a Changing Places facility and baby changing rooms. Situated at the rear of the main building is the children’s play area (suitable for up to 12 year olds), the Bournville Experience Museum, 4D Chocolate Adventure, and a marquee and picnic tables set aside for packed lunches.

What are your disabled facilities?
We are DDA compliant with audio tours and mini scripts for visual and hearing impaired visitors. Wheelchair is only limited in the factory area. Before visitors reach the factory, there is a video area which is accessible to all visitors. We do have an AA rate (Access Assistance) for any pupils with disabilities or require 1:1 support.

As opening times are seasonal and varied please refer to the Cadbury World website or select option 3 on our reservation line 0844 880 7667. During term time Cadbury World opens at 10am with last entry at 3pm.
