Skirfare Barn, Yorkshire's premier group accommodation venue right in the heart of the stunning Yorkshire Dales. Surrounded by the beautiful limestone scenery of Upper Wharfedale this picturesque traditional stone barn, sleeping up to 20 people, is sat in its own exclusive 1 acre grounds, complete with garden activities, outdoor seating, large BBQ its the perfect venue for your group in an outstanding location.
Accommodation consists of a spacious stone flagged entrance Hall, a cosy, oak beamed sitting/dining room with exposed stone walls, a fully fitted kitchen area with modern appliances, separate ladies and men’s washrooms with toilets and showers and a drying/cloak room. The common room contains a huge 15+ seat sofa with large cushions to relax in, additional individual chairs provide total seating for 20. A custom built large oak dining table to comfortably seat all 20 guests .
The 5 bedrooms sleep a total of 20 people consisting of: 2 twin bedded rooms, plus 2 rooms sleeping 4 people and a large room sleeping 8. All bedrooms are lockable and each bed has a clean pillow, pillow case, fitted sheet and blanket provided. Externally the secure grounds provide facilities to enjoy activities such as archery, football, baseball without worry of proximity to other buildings.
The local area is host to the UK’s best caving and climbing locations, is right in the centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park which provides an abundance of walking and outdoor activities.
Security is a focus, with a fully enclosed garden, CCTV on site, and a secure storage facility externally for cycles or equipment etc.

Located midway between the bustling, vibrant village of Grassington and the charming riverside village of Kettlewell the Barn provides the perfect base for exploring the many delights of the Yorkshire Dales and just 15 miles from the busy town of Skipton.

Can you provide information regarding room sizes and room facilities?
2 twin bed rooms, 2 rooms sleeping 4 in bunkbeds and a large room sleeping 8 in bunkbeds. All bedrooms are lockable and each bed has a clean pillow, pillow case, fitted sheet and blanket provided. Please bring your own sleeping bag or quilts and covers. The barn is centrally heated throughout with thermostatically controlled radiators. All central heating, lighting, electric and hot water is included in the price.
There is TV with Freeview and DVD player in the Common Room, plus a large flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD and connections for a games console in the large bedroom.
Are visitors allowed to take photos, video or audio, if appropriate?
Yes, no restrictions.
What is your process for booking pre arranged risk assessments?
Fully fitted fire/heat/smoke detection system installed and checked and recorded weekly. A fire risk assessment doc and significant findings doc can be provided or is available for download from our website. Contact site owner to make an appointment to attend and perform own assessments.
What is the cost of the accommodation?
Single fee for the exclusive use of the whole site for your group. £250 per midweek night, £350 for fri/sat nights.
