Whitby Archive Heritage Centre has successfully been awarded a grant from the Community Foundation Local Network Fund

The grant will provide free workshops where families can research their family tree or research local information of what happened the day they were born.

This will provide opportunities for families in the local Whitby area to learn about their family roots and local history.

The centre will be open Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays 1130am -230pm for free advice and one to one help in tracing your family tree or local history.

All the census records for Yorkshire will be available.

So please access this rare opportunity, the open workshops will be available from 29th October and will finish on the 5th December 2007.
