Herd Farm offers all schools, especially Leeds-based schools, an easily reached, highly affordable venue, with a range of activities. The main on-site activities are High Ropes Course; Jacob’s Ladder; Crate Stack; Zip Wire; Giant Swing; Low Ropes Course; Challenge/Assault Course; Cycle Track; Archery; Team-Building Games; Orienteering; Bushcraft; plus Countryside Walking and Off-Road Cycling in and around the Harewood Estate. Herd Farm also offers Pottery, Indoor Team-Building Activities, and large inflatables. Activity sessions and programmes – whether for a residential, day-  or part-day booking- are discussed and agreed with the school, and can be tailored to suit a school’s particular requirements (examples: helping transition with Year 6/Year 7 pupils; providing ‘challenge’ for Gifted/Talented Year 8 pupils; raising achievement with alternative curriculum Year 9/Year 10 pupils; revision with Year 11 GCSE pupils). Prices include all agreed activities, plus accommodation (e.g. food, bed linen, showers). Additionally, Herd Farm is only a few minutes away from Leeds’ facilities (e.g. museums, cinemas, shops, transport links), and is a superb base from which to explore nearby places such as Harewood House, Harrogate and York, Ilkley Moor, and The Yorkshire Dales.
