Introduction for school trips and educational visits

Set in an atmospheric 30 acre corner of Dalby, The Great Yorkshire Forest, Ability Outdoors have been providing exciting outdoor activities to a wide variety of customers for over 6 years.

Outdoor Pursuits, Paintballing, Archery, High & Low Ropes courses, Outdoor Problem Solving & Orienteering, from people with learning difficulties to youth groups, school groups and college groups, we really do have something for everyone.

Multi Activity Days...
These action packed days let you try several different outdoor pursuits in just one day. All activities are based in Dalby - the Great Yorkshire Forest - the perfect environment to experience exciting new sports. Activities available include:

  • Nite-line
  • Orienteering
  • Shelter – building
  • Paintballing

All our instructors are qualified and experienced in the activities that they provide and we actively promote the belief that the outdoors is for everyone to enjoy, not just the super fit. We constantly strive to improve facilities and events to ensure that you have the very best day out possible.

What does it cost?

  • Half day – 3 hours – 2 x activities - £25/head.
  • Full day – 9.45 – 4.00 – 4 x activities - £35/head.
  • All teachers go FREE.

30 or more pupils get a 10% discount.

Is specific clothing required?

Just clothes appropriate to the time of year and decent footwear.

Do you have first aid on site?

All staff are first aid qualified.

What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?

We have an undercover decked eating area at reception, with a basic tuck shop.

Buffets can be arranged in advance, however most groups bring a packed lunch.

Are there disabled facilities?
