Adventurer Tom McClean offers his Highland Outdoor Centre at Ardintigh to Self Catering groups of 12-30 people (Sat-Sat). Located in its own Bay Ardintigh is an ideal base for Activity Holiday’s, Field or Art trips, Summer Camp and Walking Holiday’s or simply a wonderful opportunity to "Get Away From It All" with your group at an amazing low cost. Castaway to our unique wilderness Centre and enjoy the spectacular rugged beauty of Loch Nevis (known as the heavenly loch) and enjoy our Mountain and Loch side location. Escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the Centre’s amenities and surrounding area exclusive to your own group. There are no roads to the Centre, we are a 1 ½ hour boat journey from Mallaig or a 2 hour trek over the mountains, for many, a visit to Ardintigh is their first taste of Adventure in such an exceptional setting. The Centre provides bunk house accommodation for up to 24 people. For larger groups we have a 10 acre site on the waters edge for camping (bring your own tents). The surrounding area is a walker’s paradise; there are several Munros nearby, also orienteering, canoeing, fishing, clay shooting and more: all this is possible at Ardintigh Bay. There is an abundance of wildlife, marine life, Flora and Fauna, Sea birds (you may be lucky and see a sea eagle) making Ardintigh a wonderful base for Field and Art groups. It is a unique place, ideal for running your own course or bringing a group to relax and get away from the crowds. Instruction is not offered with self-catering bookings, so if partaking in outdoor pursuits parties should bring their own qualified instructors. There is a warden/manager on site who is available to help and advise during your stay. Please call with your specific needs. Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions? Yes we are happy and there are no copyright restrictions. How do you arrange a risk assessment? Pre-booking visits to the Centre by group leader are welcome by arrangement. What are the contact details for their education officer? Please call number above for bookings and further information. What does it cost? £100 per week for a group of 24 people, smaller groups are welcome and will be charged at a higher rate per person. Numbers from 25 upwards will be camping and will receive 25% discount. Is specific clothing required? Yes, waterproofs, walking boots and general outdoor gear including shorts and T shirts. Do you have first aid on site? Please provide first aiders within your group. What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits? Jocks Lodge is the focal point of the Centre and has a fully equipped Kitchen, Dining, Recreation Room, Toilets, Shower Block and Drying room.
